| What's this!? I haven' never noticed anything about the typography subtly changing. Could you post screen caps? Did you notice this on the US TV broadcasts, video tapes, what?

You must not adore it THAT much, as the first episode didn't air until April 1990. A true fan would know that! :) Perhaps you are thinking of the fact that the pilot was filmed in 1989. Still though, I think you meant 1990. :)

I haven' never noticed anything about the typography subtly changing. | I don't know if it's the same thing that JVSCant is talking about, but I've noticed a subtle "change" in the credits for at least one episode. It reminds me of rear projection in old movies where you can see an outline of the person against the background. Or the Radioactive man episode of The Simpsons when they tried their hand at digital coloring for the first time.
Don't know if the typography is different, but something certainly is.

I second what you've described, Booth, and that change in tone of the letters occurs at the same time as what I'm talking about. My suspicion is that they changed to a video-generated process instead of an optical-print one. The colors of the credit writing become less analog and grainy, and up until that point in the series you can even see inconsistencies within a single episode, as names that have been there from the beginning are replaced by names that were added more recently. But starting with one of the last episodes -- this change might not have affected more than two or three episodes, I just can't recall now -- it does standardize. (This is also when the appearance of Eric DaRe's last name changes as well.) And that later font has different fine detail, and poor letter spacing. If you overlap them you won't get a match.

'A TRUE Peaker would get a FWWM tat ONLY where it belongs: on the left upper arm!!! ' alas, i have no room left there. so, on the calf it'll go. as far as the font that 'booth' supplied, it's good enough for me.

it's pileated, isn't it?

Or at least attempt a FWWM coverup. To see MY version, go to Jared's photo link. It's #1...

I had to look it up. :) the change happens between episodes 25 and 26. Also, tho not very visible at this shrunked size, the quality of the video improves at 26 too. Just look at how much clearer the text is on the welcome sign. Also, the shot with the welcome sign from 26 on is slightly zoomed in compared to episodes 25 and before. And as people stated (and I never noticed) Eric Da Re's a and e in his last name go from small caps to lower case. Thanks for bring this up guys... if I ever noticed this, I had forgotten COMPLETELY about it... if I ever noticed at all that is.

'a TRUE Peaker would "take the entire arm off" ' LOL! the above quote made me chuckle. however, i would greatly miss the original 'entire arm' as it has this wonderful tattoo on it. when 'the one armed man' spoke of his own tattoo reading 'mother', his voice cracked and he sobbed. it struck me funny for some odd reason. edit:son of a BITCH. i am having the devil of a time posting an image on the board here.

And actually, Gerard says "Mom" , not "Mother." The way he blubbers it out makes it sound as much like BOB as Mom, to my ears...

'And actually, Gerard says "Mom" , not "Mother." The way he blubbers it out makes it sound as much like BOB as Mom, to my ears...' whew, you're GOOD! which does prompt me to fire up my annual twin peaks fest! sadly, though, i must admit that i am afraid to remove my arm. i have a low pain threshold. 'Omega' will always reside on my upper right arm. but i do think the fwwm tat will look great on my calf.

"Good"? I think most would say just the opposite. Fine, keep your silly "old" arm! Just don't come 'round the REAL Twin Peaks Fest. Wait. Is your calfbone connected to the thighbone that's connected to the uh, posteriorbone of your ahem, "icon"? That'll do, pig. Carry on...

'pig, that'll do'...that quote is so familiar. is it from 'wind in the willows' or ' winnie the pooh'?

| Yes, Babe, indeed!!! Maybe you didn't get it cuz I neglectated the final "That'll do." I always thought that James Cromwell should've worked that line into EVERY role he's had since then. Couldn't you imagine his George on Six Feet Under, after being nagged by Ruth, acquiescing & having the last word: "That'll do, pig. That'll do." ?
