I've go 5 cats! I took this photo of them all in one place (a miracle) in my living room in Brooklyn, NY ... there's one in the chair, that's Bruno.

Fantastic shot, Charles! I know how rare it is to get the whole family together for one shot but 5 cats! I like the way the two on the left bookend the two on the right. Then there's the "fifth wheel" on the chair. Remember that old Sesame Street bit "One of these kids is doing his own thing"?

Here's our three pets together. From left to right: Fluffy, the Norwegian Forest cat,  Oreo (aka "Jack Bauer") and Lola the Lovely Lab.  Uh, they're not allowed on the furniture.  Or on the kitchen counter.  Or the windowsills.  Or in our bed. Or in our suitcases as we pack.

Sure!

Lovely cats and dog, Susan. Thanks for sharing. Yeah, my cats definitely never walk on the counter dropping kitty dander while I cook for friends. They certainly don't stand on the table or in my plate while I eat, and they hardly ever track their litter-boxy, pee-stained paws anywhere near my face or bed pillows. Everything is under control.

Of course it is, Charles.  Likewise here.  Oh and Rebel, my dog NEVER barks in the middle of the night (or any other time) when she thinks she hears a distant coyote.  Or a car.  Or another dog barking down the street.  Never.

I've probably never kissed my cat's nose after he/she sniffed or licked another cat's butthole......never.

Well, even if you did do so, Charles, I've always heard that a cat's tongue and nose are antiseptic.

My cats are so hygenic they wouldn't dream of leaving a kitty-turd outside the litter box. And they would never ever ever choose a rug or carpeting over the much easier to clean hardwood or tile floor to spit out a hairball. It just doesn't happen!

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had pets as perfect as we have?

Miss my cats and dogs.  Used to have 4 cats and a dog.  All were black, which isn't surprising as they were from the same litter.  Except for my persian cat...she was off white with a black diamond face, feet and tail.  Bright blue eyes.  Named her Crayons. LOL.  Blackjack was my dog, may he rest in doggy heaven.  Then there was Oscar, Chewie and Dale. All big honking cats with 6 toes on each paw.  When we get a house, there will critters again.  For now, I get my fix when we go to Eric's parents.  One dog, Comet, and 2 cats, Pepper and Lucky. :)

Charles, you are my hero. :D

I was able to train my cats to cough up their hairballs either in the garage or on a bathmat. No, seriously. I would catch them in the middle of horking one up and I'd carry them to the nearest location, either the garage or the bathmat. After a while they got the idea. And thank god too. Nothing worse than walking down the hall first-thing in the morning and getting a footful of cold fur puke.

I now have just four cats. My fifth (and oldest) cat finally kicked it just before the fest this year. She made it to 14 years, which is awesome. Got her for my 18th birthday, so it was a bit sad when she died, but I was also OK with it because she's just been really lethargic and creaky the last year. So there was a bit of relief in there. My remaining four cats are all still crazy little bastards. And I can't get any of them to huddle together long enough for a family photo, so I'll have to just give you four individual ones.

Such adorable cats!! Want to give their ears a scritch. :)  Anytime we visit Eric's parents, it never fails that I find Lucky curled up on my hip.  Don't know why he likes it there, but that's his spot when I am asleep. LOL.  Then when I am awake he comes and lays on my chest.  I love the cats. :)  I used to have bunnies *Sniff and Scratch* but my cats hated them so we had to give them away.

Some gorgeous cats there, folks!!! Now it's puppy time.

Here's my niece with her new English Bulldog puppy.  Is he so adorable?!?!

e

One of our cats used to pull this same TP-ing stunt so for a while he was the prime suspect. Until we caught Lola in the act. Note the devilish eyes as she vandalizes the house.

AW! I miss having rats. I used to love it when I'd come home from work and they'd rush to the front of the cage and grab the bars with their little front paws and sit there sniffing at me. I'd always give 'em these treats I called "goofballs" because the rats always went INSANE for them and would do a myriad of silly things in anticipation while I fiddled with the container...I don't know what they really were...they were from the pet store and they looked like the crunchberries from a box of Captain Crunch.

I only ever had female rats, except for one male rat I kept after my himalayan had a litter that pretty much all died within a week of birth; he was the lone survivor and I took pity on him. His name was Little Dude. Cutest. Thing. Ever.

Do any of you feed your pets "Greenies?"  Lola gets a "petite" Greenie every morning.  Poodle sized.  But they come in hamster size, parakeet size and St. Bernard.  Animals love them and it's supposed to be good for their teeth!

Sparkplug is absolutely adorable, Angel! And Smokey--those are some sweet looking felines.  Comet was a handful this weekend. He's a nutter, but a sweetie.  Likes to snap his jaws at flies, which is frickin' hilarious to watch (he usually catches the ones he's after, too--must be the huskie in him LOL).  Poor thing managed to snap at a bee this past weekend and got stung on his lip.

Was so funny, when we were having the rummage sale, he got tired of people driving up to the house and parking in the circle driveway, so he went out and got some of his larger sticks, placing them strategically around so people couldn't park.  Even though it was a hassle to go and retrieve the sticks, it was kind of funny/cute.  Tuckered him out after two days and he slept like a rock. :)

Does anyone besides me have Sea Monkeys?  I know, they're more like paperweights than pets, but they're marketed that way!
