As you already saw, there's a new site deisgn. Kept it on the dark side, but tried to lighten up with some green and gray. We'll see how it goes. You'll also see a hint of red, but that's about it. AFter adding the colors to the board, I tend to think it's been too much green now, so who knows, that might change to something slightly different.

More impotantly, the TPG website has had a major facelift. Hopefully, I'll do a better job of keeping it up and adding some fresh content when possible.

I like the color scheme, but it bothers me that the board doesn't stretch across my screen. Especially with a widescreen monitor, it makes reading and posting a little uncomfortable.

The main site looks really good. You're welcome to delete that story I wrote when I was 13, though.

which story is that?

I've been thinking about the screen size when I was doing the site. My statistics don't track screen resolution, but I have a feeling everyone is using 1024 or higher. Anyone still on 800? If no one is or even just a couple, I think I might tweak the desgin a bit and stretch it out to 1000.

Isn't it possible to use percent? Like the current look is a centered 75% of total screen screen size (on 1024).
It might look a bit strange, though. But it is possible isn't it? Or am I totally hallucinating here?

New look is great, really liking it!  Again, the only thing I would have commented on is the width...typical woman, I know

My theory by A. Elk, brackets, Miss, brackets. This theory goes as follows and begins now. All brontosauruses are thin at one end, much much thicker in the middle, and then thin again at the far end. That is my theory, it is mine, and it belongs to me, and I own it, and what it is, too.

Your website isn't filling up the internet tubes in a satisfactory manner, Jordan.

This thread reminded me of something that I forgot to put in the Time for an update thread. Overlong links, such as Amazon links masked with themselves instead of a simple little Link. It will obviously break the layout.

I do not know the term for it but I have seen examples where the board software shortens the url automatically, such as http://www.amazon.com/Twin-Peaks-Defi...6&sr=8-1, or something like that.

Would that be possible for this board?

I was thinking about that alos when i did the redesign. Long links or big images would cause the main menu to break apart. That's something I should figure out how to do.

One thing would be if just the one cell with the message would become wider and all the others remain the same size. But that would require another redesign I suppose.

That would require each post to be its own floating cell which doesn't affect the table behind it, I think. Eeek...not even sure how to do that one and ensure cross browser capabilities.

I like the new design, but why no link to the separate Festival board?

People get used to links so when the festival starts selling tickets, I want to handle it differently that is different (if that makes any sense).

Uh, not much. Or, as we say in Espanol, that was a bit oblique.

I wondered about the Festival link too.  The Gazette has long been the location where people sought out Festival info and for it to vanish all of a sudden not to appear until ticket-selling season seems disorienting to us stodgy types. I'd like a link.  Prominent in fact.  The chain of TP Fest organizers throughout its long history see each link as a part of the totality.

Looks lovely--very classy and the green is perfect. Very Peak-y.

It's still taking some time to get used to the board not stretching across the screen--was so used to all the black and red--keep imagining red drapes where the grey is. LOL.

I've been away from the board for some time now..

I must say the design is good. Well done.
