What do you think this scene means? Maybe that finally Laura is safe and happy, together with her saviour Cooper, the man from her dreams...

When I call out no one can hear me,when I whisper he thinks the message is for him only..my little voice inside my throat,I always think there must be something that I've done or something I can do...But no one no one comes to help,he says,a little girl like you...

I think it means that she should switch to de-caff!!!  "2nd 2nd assistant  director"?! See, even the credits are jittery & stuttering!!!

That's Laura saying DRINK ME to Alice Cooper so that he will shrink.
When he is to grow large again she used this gesture:

Are you talking about FBI Special Agent Alice Cooper? They really should've played School's Out in the pilot after classes are cancelled.  Is that cup o' Laura "bottomless"?  And what kinda donuts goes with that beverage?

What, don't you get it? It means that donuts and coffee are the flesh and blood of Laura Palmer - Eat'em and you will have Eternal Life.

It means "think of me when you drink coffee." And I often do.

The question is, Where have you gone?

Laura's in black coffee and in the black lodge.  The  black coffee  is  in the black  lodge with Cooper and

Cooper drinks coffee and spills it. The question should be why did that coffee go from soup to syrup?

Is Laura trapped in coffee/lodge in season 3? The mystery is killing me, what fine thread indeed.

I think it means the following: Most people never understood the real Laura. They just saw the image of her in the picture of the Homecoming Queen. Inside the Black Lodge is a cup of coffee which reflects Laura's face upsidedown. Once again, this is not the real Laura, just a reflected image of her. After being killed, and entering the Red Room, Laura's personality seems to have fragmented into many pieces. There is the beautiful, "stylish" Laura who winks at Agent Cooper. There is the tormented and screaming Laura. There is the happy and beatified Laura, bathed in angelic radiance. At this point, Laura is not just one personality. She has fragmented into many different personalities, a bit like the myth of Orpheus, who is torn into pieces by the Bacchae, but each piece is still alive in itself. Orpheus's head carries on singing, even as it is thrown into the river... A similar fate awaits Agent Cooper, of course. He splits into two personalities...

Or maybe it's just a cool visual effect, saying, in essence "Welcome to the Red Room. I'm Laura. I'll be your server. Our special  today  ic creamed corn omelettes. Sorry, we're all out of bacon & grapefruit. Could I get you something else to drink besides coffee?".

I guess it is dumb for me to make any silly sarcastic reply and expect it not to be taken seriously.

This is a very haunting image for me for a couple of reasons. For one, I can see it as Lynch twisting the knife one final time, almost mocking Laura's pain and suffering (I know he loves Laura and Twin Peaks, but there is a lot of malice in the finale). If you take FWWM into account, you could see it as a symbol of Laura's salvation. I will always remember this image as being the ultimate ending to the show, meaning that when I first watched the series, was renting and not all that sure how many episode there were. When I got through the last episode, I still wasn't sure it was the last episode until I saw Laura's face in that coffee cup, even winking at us! It was then I started saying out loud (and I was alone), "This can't be it! This CAN'T be the end!". But it was...

One thougt: It could be Laura's actual reflection. Maybe she's having a bit of Black Lodge Brew as she's waiting those 25 years out.

Iva, I like your default picture. I'm a Laura fan and I think its the very esscence of who Laura was. I can almost feel the cold wind blowing her hair around,

Life is FULL of mysteries, Donna.

Just to complete the triptych of 'Laura at the picnic' avatar pics. These images are the truest likeness to Laura I have seen. She is sort of looking right through the viewer. Love the coffee reflection as well, I bet Lynch was smiling when he shot that.
