Would it be possible to set up a search function? The FWWM/TP board has grown so huge that searching for a specific topic or phrase manually by trawling through the pages has become unmanageable. WOuld it be possible to add a search function? I know I am suggesting more work for the admins and mods but I kind of loathe searching for anything not on the first couple of pages. It's not a big deal (for me) - though it might be for Jordan.

How does everyone else feel about this idea?

Montana

BTW, I posted this but it didn't go to "most recent post" on the main board. Why not? I know this is a child board but being flagged up as a recent post on the home board gets in viewers and stimulates discussion. Jordan, can this be rectified? Anyone on the main board wouldn't know there is a new topic/post in "Announcements". Let's face it, it is a rarely visited board so it could do with this alteration to get more visitors.

I've found that using Google or a comparable search engine with the phrase you seek in quotes plus either 2000revue or twinpeaksgazette will turn up most result rapidly. Search function on boards like this get so hairy they're almost useless. I feel your pain, Montana. Best of luck.

I've thought about the issue of child boards not getting "lit" up on the parent. It's something that needs tob e fixed.

The problem with searches on a board is exactly what was mentioned above. They are almost useless. Let me see about putting a Google search function that only searches the board on the site. That would be the most reliable and the LEAST amount of work for me. :)

Jordan .
