I heard if it is a success, Lynch is expecting to make a franchise out of it in the same vein as X-Men. TM-Origins

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

If someone made a serious biopic of David Lynch and his life down the road, what actor would play him?

If somebody were to order the DVD Amazon has in stock would they receive a) forty minutes of hilarious satire in the vein of the trailer or b) a side-splitting empty envelope which is really a scathing commentary on faith and consumerism in our post-post-modern culture? It seems slightly pointless parodying something that's bordering on self-parody already.

This world peace business is making me ill.

Does this mean that Amazon does not have this DVD in stock, but they make one every time it gets ordered?

I watched the 8 min. sample (DL is not in it.)

One of the young men says he doesn't feel the urge to drink or do drugs because TM makes him feel so relaxed and good. I've heard elsewhere that the effects (and after-effects) of "diving within" are drug-like.

I know that there's a methamphetamine problem in Iowa (and all of the rural U.S., let's face it.) And recovering addicts often turn to spirituality as a substitute. So I guess TM can be preemptive addiction and alcoholism recovery.

Which is no excuse for the confidence game TM the organization revolves around, but I guess it's an alternative for at-risk kids.

I watched this 2:28 minute trailer trailer and DL is in it.   The trailer says absolutely nothing but shows several beatific young faces blissing out.  Yellow neckties on the boys!

Nebulosity.

Here's the funny version -- Tony "I'm not a member of TM" Perri's latest:
