Hello there,

Haven't been here for quite a while now. Some of you may remember me though. My name is Arttu Haglund, I'm a film student from Finland. I'm currently working on my final thesis for the film school with a title "Written film: Why is picture and sound created only through text?" in which I'm questioning the screenplay-driven way of creating films, so popular today.

Since David is my favourite film director and also worked himself scriptwise in quite a unique way with INLAND EMPIRE, I would like to ask him a few questions in regards to my thesis. The only (obvious) problem is that I haven't been able to find his e-mail address. I just tried to send him a public message via Twitter but am not sure if he'll even notice that. And of course it's not certain that he would reply in the first place, but it would be nice to make sure he'd at least get the chance.

So, I'm asking for your help: If you have any means of contacting him or someone here is aware of someone (John Neff perhaps, if he's still reading this forum?) who could possibly be able to forward my questions to him, it would be much appreciated.
