Lynch movie lines that get the most use |

Hi guys, long time no see! It occured to me that my wife and I have been using a line from a particular movie quite a bit these days to convey a certain understanding between us when the situation calls for it. Making the "face" is optional but encouraged. Generally when we see something disgusting one of us will say "I hate braunschweiger," or just "ew, braunschweiger." It has a surprisingly broad application. Anybody else have a line that you find yourself saying maybe too much? Cheers.

I find myself constantly quoting Bobby Peru: "Don't mind if I fuckin' do"
Ben: "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight. All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest." Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

I'm partial to "What goes around, comes around; around and around"
Also I like to change "Rockin' good Peanut" into whatever the pet name I have for my g/f is ie "Rockin' good kitten"
"Hindsight is 20/20"

If TP counts: "These are things I cannot control." If not: "Now it's dark."

This requires some deep thought. I'll just take the prime root of the Miguel Ferrer character's lines in TP. "....and resume whitling."

I am looking for an opportunity to use Beanie Thorne's best line in the deleted scenes of WAH:
"If he says all that flab turns into dick at midnight, he's a liar."
I have also used the Mystery Man's warning to Pete:
"In the East, the Far East, when a person is sentenced to death, they're sent to a place where they can't escape, never knowing when an executioner may step up behind them, and fire a bullet into the back of their head."

It would be great if that was the very next thing you said after the boner line.

Another Peru line: "Speaking of Jack......."
Ben: "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight. All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest." Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

For years....I've been using Frank's line from Blue Velvet...usually when I'm on the way out of the door or just about to leave and drive off somewhere. "Let's hit the fucking road" I've used the 'Hey, neighbour' one too...when talking to my neighbours, but they usually run off.

Don't know if this counts, but I've been known to give an Agent Cooper-style thumbs-up. I've even done the sideways-pointing-while-snapping-fingers thing.
"What? Did your life pass before your eyes? Cuppa tea, cuppa tea, almost got shagged, cuppa tea..."

Yeah Chris, I do that as well...lol...I'm sure when I give the "thumbs up", most people think I'm trying to be "The Fonz"...lol

I nearly always yell "Heineken, fuck that shit. Pabst Blue Ribbon!" at anyone I see drinking a Heinie. No one ever know what I'm talking about.

I like that thread very much :-))) My most favourite quote in that respect hasn't been mentioned yet and I actually use it in Polish and I'm not certain what the exact English words are. It is what Bobby says about Leo in the last Twin Peaks episode ... that Leo's probably out in the woods having a time of his life ... can anyone please help me out with an exact quote? Well, that's what we (my best friend and I) so often say when we talk about some friend who is somewhere we don't know where exactly and we're assuming what he might be doing. Must be out in the woods having the time of his life! Also I have to admit that I often use Frank's "let's hit the fucking road!" when I set off somewhere on my bike (I don't drive so I cycle a lot and say that line a lot, too . . . but only to myself ) And! | QUOTE:I nearly always yell "Heineken, fuck that shit. I've always wanted to be able to toast somebody with "Here's to your fuck, Frank" but it rarely comes up... :P
Also, almost without fail, during a phone conversation in which somebody asks me to repeat something I've said, I always reply "OR-EEEE-GON!!!!" at ear splitting volume....

hahahaha. this thread is great. definitely the 'cooper thumbs up and smile' is what i use the most.
and i've become accustomed to sometimes going into blue velvet scenes when i'm bored on the road, or better yet anywhere near my dad cause he shudders at the thought of frank
don't be a good neighbor to her or i'll send you a love letter straight from my heart to yours fuckerrr
you know what a love letter is dontcha? it's a bullet from a fucking gun fuckerrr

I like to walk around the house yelling Garmonbozia! in a warped voice. I also like "I've got good news, that gum you like is going to come back in style." Non twin peaks I go for some, "Don't be a good neighbor to her..."

i enjoy the thumbs up as much as the rest of you, but the only thing i say that was used in a lynch film(and not even a film, TP the series) is saying "aces!" while giving the thumbs up(even tho that was a saying, like "swell", from fifties america and lynch appropriated it.
