Would you donate 50 dollars to our budget?
I might if the project was interesting.
Would you pay 50 dollars for a t-shirt?
What?! No way.

It's very LA to have couture t-shirts for 3x as much and thongs for about that much. Wearing one right now, in fact. (I mean, it has to be mega high quality and or handmade. Not fragging ed hardy, that tacky crap.)
I must say, I covet. If it's fitted. Very cutting edge. I approve.

I didn't know which size of luscious grey t-shirt to order so I opted for the poster instead. Things I want to see; Documentary footage of DL's quest to get THOSE deleted scenes released or at the very least 90-minutes of him describing in exhaustive detail what was left out. Things I don't want to see; DL talking about the benefits of transcendental meditation - got the book, the magazines and the DVDs already, thanks.

I don´t mind supporting a project like that and I think it´s a great way for them to get it finanched! And I like the poster. It will go very well with our new place :D

I decided poster + t-shirt was a good look for me so I made a second donation (for the wrong reasons, I know) and my t-shirt and poster arrived last week. I haven't attempted to unroll the poster yet because I'm clumsy - within minutes of my INLAND EMPIRE quad arriving I was swinging the tube absentmindedly, quickly followed by a horrified shriek - but it's printed on thick stock and should look wondrous in a frame. The t-shirt's well made as 'fan' t-shirts go. The Lynch Three Project also had the good sense to dispatch these treasures from Europe rather than the US, thus reducing their shipping costs and carbon footprint. I have huge amounts of warmth towards these Lynch Three people and I'm usually hostile to all companies involved in the marketing of Lynch products until I see the finished product (you know the drill... big plans... crushing disappointment... bitter recriminations). Dangling carrots aside, I'm happy to contribute and hope they manage to raise all the money they need.

I have to say I find all this quite peculiar. I bought Lynch One from Amazon, I have not seen Lynch Two but on the basis of Lynch One I am not sure I need/want to. However, what puzzles me is this project seems to comprise of video footage of David Lynch giving of his own time to ramble on in front of the camera. So why the need for the fund raiser? Lynch surely isn't short of dollars himself, and as this is primarily a project about/promoting him, why are they asking the public to pay to get it produced and if we do are we expected to pay again to see the finished product? Also, if TM is of such benefit to Lynch why is he so strapped to help the sort of young filmmakers he enthuses about enabling to get projects like this off the ground? The whole thing doesn't add up to me, am I alone in my thinking about this?

Ed Hardy! Oh, Angel, I agree!!! It is time we all join our collective carpal tunnelled hands into the air and insist... NO MAS ED HARDY! or... ED HARDY NO PEACE!
I see it was printed in Denmark. That would definitely kick up the production cost of a white/gray t-shirt.
