Has anyone seen The Double Life Of Veronique (1991), made by Krzysztof Kieslowski a polish film director?

I was intrigued when I watched this movie, because I think Mulholland Dr. and this film has few connections together and little bit the same atmosphere.

Now I'm wondering if Lynch has ever mentioned that he likes Kieslowski's work or maybe has stated to be a fan of this polish director work?

i used to have the criterion edition, and loved it from its first scene where veronika sings that one note for what seems like forever, even as the rain starts to pour. i agree there are similiarities to MD, but only in a few themes(pardon me if my memory is clouded, its been awhile). in double life, except for living in different countries, i dont remember any suggestion that there are alternate realities, only the suggestion of the double veronika/veronique identity, as well her relationship with the puppeteer, which suggests manipulation in the life of veonique as well as an allusion to the relationship between veronika and veronique, primarily when veronika dies, veronique decides to quit singing as well, but it is never explicit whether they are one and the same, or doppelgangers(like betty and diane in the club silencio scene in MD). so yeah, in a long winded way, i can see a likeness, but no real relationship between the films. i have no idea if lynch has said or is a kieslowski fan(he sure does seem to like shooting in poland regardless), but i wouldnt be surprised.

So you don't think there's any basis for the comparisons between www.cdwow.com Mulholland Drive other DVD retail companies are available and the Double Life of Veronique low rent advertising?

Ooh subliminal!

I ran from the noise and the silence, from the traffic on the streets
