The Myspace model was not good enough to pull off the message board decline. It was more a plus/plus thing, rather than an either/or as with FB. I noticed the decline in the Spring of 2010. By June the board was quiet, the 20 year TP anniversary not withstanding. Still you have seen some ebb and flow since. What happens, at least to me, was after a year the TP and DL posts cut back, and more posting on off topic stuff which was more social community style. Funny, many of us shared experiences on those Off Topics. I would not be as forthcoming with anecdotes and life experiences as I was a couple years ago. There is a time for things, things change, and nothing lasts forever.

It's not surprising really, is it? I think many of us do miss the times when there was a lot of discussion going on here. Now it can be a natural process that it has ceased, nevertheless one can still miss it. 76 users present? Nah, I was sure they weren't real ones.

Yes, well Bob, I did note in a previous post awhile ago, That you and Gordan were back and you motivated new blood too. Great posts guys. I read them, but i have not seen the series in awhile or even FWWM. Two other faves are still around: Booth and Suave. I know the 76 should be divided by 8 (eight spider legs ) so that would be 9 :)

Although it is cyclical, I think some of us old timers miss friends. I suppose some of us keep up with people through social networks and so don't come here for PMs. For me, I feel like I am wandering into a bar I used to hang out as a student and not recognising any faces.

it makes me log in each time I visit so it is just laziness on my part not logging in to reply, anyone else having the same problem

sounds like your browser is acting odd. You hit post message twice and it posted twice on the board. browser might be display an old version of the page.

hmmmmm..... I see many at least a university degree... those who frequent and post on these forums... why say it just over a paragt or 3 when you can string it out... (bore everyone to death) and make a goof 1500-2000 word didtillery out of it...
Well... do you want to come out of it with a degree or not.... yes I see a lot of those here...

Surely also a factor is the fact that DL hasn't made a film for five years. Obviously he's been involved in a lot of other projects but most Lynch fans are fans because of the films/TV, not the painting/coffee... Anyway, personally, I am more of a David Lynch fan, than a Twin Peaks fan, and there's only so much you can say about films that have been released an increasingly long time ago. Having said that, I am currently listening to the new DL album, so maybe I'll create a topic about it and see what activity that can stir...

no,but the black lodge is symbolic of a divine energy,isn't it... it will never stop arousing peoples curiosity... it would be a shame if they shut the board down !!!!
