I downloaded both tracks.

Good Day Today sounds as though it was influenced by Benny Benassi and Moby. I like the vocals but the music isn't my cup of tea (too cold and minimal).  

I Know reminds me of Glory Box by Portishead and Imaginary Girl from the Ghost of Love single.

i like them.
i think lynch criticism is sometimes slightly biased towards the feeling or assumption of expecting to be blown away by each work of his.
his less lavish(in the creative and scale sense) and more sublim projectes are criticized for not being grand and lavish enough.
but i like the minimalness of it. im pretty familiar with the styles he's playing in, but if i wasnt already aware of him, im not sure if id be exposed to it or even be interested.
tho im jumping the gun there, as i havent heard the full album yet, so i can only take things so far at this point.

An album hasn't been announced yet. According to the Los Angeles Times "his goal is to release a full-length album of original music". You can read the article here;

Not bad. Could easily be Moby with the melancholy chord changes and processed vocals.

I don't think it warrants Portishead-comparison.

Erm, you said it sounds like Portishead. I said it's not as good as Portishead. At no point did I criticise you for having that thought. I was just expressing my alternative opinion. It seems that you are the one that is getting anxious over us not having the same views, not me.

Bless your heart Cooped! I'm genuinely thrilled that you get my penchant for whimsy. When the time comes I'm thinking of having 'I WAS BEING IRONIC' carved on my headstone. It's my own fault for not using 'LOL' or smiley faces to imply humour but they'd only make my sentences look cluttered. Posting on messageboards can be like poking a stick into dense undergrowth and hoping there's nothing nasty lurking in there.      

I know right! One of these days my not-ha-ha-funny sense of humour is going to result in me being taken out in a hail of bullets. I tried using smiley faces (in a moment of desperation) but the computer wouldn't let me. It's as if the universe* was saying "Ignore the haters, they're just jealous of your fierceness"...

Just wanted to note that DL praised, committed to, and was successful with films in the nineties. But that was last century . He then embraced, extolled, and worked with digital with the main product being IE.

Now DL is emphasizing music as his product focus. Someone mentioned DL's current intermission years could lead to new movies. Do any producers still make film films ? or just too expensive-not the celluoid itself but the whole approach?  Hey i learned I am getting a better picture with my rabbit ears and tin foil antenna than I was with Comcast.
