Do you think that the "Mystery Man" (pale dark suit man) would be a lodge spirit? I just saw Lost Highway for the first time last night and did only saw a few things that reminded me of Twin Peaks like The Red curtains in Fred's bedroom (Obvious one), the whiny hum of the Detective's Ford (for whatever reason it seemed to have some significance like the traffic light and the high pitched radio wave from TP) and then the Mystery Man who really stood out to me like a Lodge Spirit (even though LH isn't set in TP), I mean he interacted with regular people like Lodge spirits do (i.e. the Tremonds, BOB, etc) but also did very strange and supernatural things. What do you think?

He's more of a cabin entity than a lodge spirit, I think.

For a short while, there was a false rumor that stated LOST HIGHWAY happened in the same Universe as Twin Peaks.  This was later clarified as it was MD that was originally a Twin Peaks Tie-in and held onto some of the imagery.

Lost Highway definatly has some artistic similarities, though.....I like to watch it after I watch Twin Peaks.

I just watched Mulholland Dr. last night as well (great week for Lynch films ;) ) and I could say the same thing for the "Cowboy" and the "Winkie's Bum/Goblin" person (i.e. the emphasis on the flickering lights when the Cowboy met with Adam and the bizarre noises accompanying the scene just before the "Bum" creeps out from behind the wall, not to mention the little blue cube and its supposed purpose).
