Newish here, so I hope this wasn't posted but: The saddest moment for you? One of the greatest let down and depressing moments was when the Giant appeared and Said "It is happening again" and everything just fell to crap. Just a huge let down that, no, Dale, you got so massively distracted and couldn't stop it. It happened again. Plenty of other sad moments, like the angels, especially Laura's angel. That made me cry so much. The use of sound for the angels was so phenomenal. And her whole weeping upon meeting Dale in the beyond.

Laura's last day, after she has found out the truth about BOB: the scene in school and the whole feeling of death and madness closing in on her, her angel disappearing. Like a lamb to the slaughter, all innocence in jeopardy. very very heavy and beautiful in it's dispair.

When Sarah is on the phone with Leland and Sheriff Truman asks for Leland. The moment Leland breaks down and Sarah realize that her daughter is dead is heart breaking.
Man! Smell those trees. Smell those Douglas firs.

For me, the atmosphere in the Roadhouse after Maddie's murder. Haunting and ethereal.

Leland's death scene. Scene in FWWM when Leland transforms back into himself after terrorizing Laura at dinner. He goes in her room and tells her he loves her and starts crying. She starts crying... he says, "Goodnight Princess." I always start crying, too. They have both at this point realized that something is horribly wrong in their household, but don't acknowledge it yet. Leland jumping on top of Laura's casket at her funeral. May be comical to some, but heartbreaking to watch for me. Bobby crying in Dr. Jacoby's office. Bobby crying at the roadhouse after Maddy's death. Bobby and his mom and dad hugging when Major shows up after being missing for a few days. There are so many moments... these are a few of my top ones, though.

I've always liked the brief shot at the end of FWWM where Leland's face turns white. It's such an evocative image of his agony and loneliness.

I defintely agree with Miles. The atmosphere at the Roadhouse during and after the murder of Maddy is defintely very upsetting.
