I have seen recently in wikipedia the audience for the two show...and I was extremely surprised to see that the second season of Twin Peaks was more successful than the two first season of x-files...the lowest episode of Twin Peaks was around 7,4 millions viewers, but in general, it was around 10 millions (the last episodes episodes has 10, 4 millions viewers)...despite an horrible changes of days.

X-files in comparaison has in the first season just 5/6 millions viewers, the second season around 8 millions viewers, and it was just in the third season that the show have gained a news audience (around 14 millions)...unlike ABC, Fox (despite their reputation) seemed lot more careful about their show and the success have proven that they have done the good choice...

What do you think about the difference of treatment between these two successful show in the 90's ? I love both of these shows (but I prefer TP)...and it's painful to see the difference of the numbers of seasons despite that x-files have been hugely influenced by TP and have a similar theme.

Do you think, like X-files, a third season of TP would have given to the show a new success ?

Oh it would be exsiting to see what a third season of TP would look like! It was many unanswered questions in season 2.

I was never a fan of the X-files.

Man! Smell those trees. Smell those Douglas firs.
