The second season of Weeds starts Monday Aug. 14 on Showtime.  I have missed the people of Agrestic so much!

"Nancy discovers that her new beau (Martin Donovan) is a DEA agent; Celia decides to run for city council---against Doug; Andy applies to rabbinical school and faces a tough admissions officer (Meital Dohan)."

 I think we decided last season that I am the only who watched this show besides Amanda who couldn't quite get past the theme song.

We're waiting impatiently for the second season over here. I have to admit when I heard the theme song I was reminded of when I was a child and my Dad used to sing it to me.

I hated it then too...

On the music side, Weeds producers have lined up several recording artists to cover the show's quirky theme song "Little Boxes" originally sung by Melvina Reynolds. Each week the show airs, "Little Boxes" will be performed over the credits by different artists including Grammy winner Elvis Costello, Englebert Humperdinck, Death Cab for Cutie, McGarrigle Sisters, Tom Maxwell and Ken Mosher (formerly from Squirrel Nut Zippers), Ozomatli, Regina Spektor, Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley and Tim DeLaughter of The Polyphonic Spree.
