Looks like it already is: Triple-X Church

My god I've been waiting to use that link for years. It's nice to finally find a home for it.

What does porn have to do with spirituality or worship?  Have video games become a religion?  How about serialized TV dramas?

...but God bless Larry Flynt, anyway.

Here is what I mean.  When you go to a strip club it seems like an act of worship to the men.  The women it doesn't seem that way.  And then they give their offerings or gifts.  Also I have heard of some actual worship in porn in the S&M catogories.  Some people don't take this too serously but I have heard of one group of women who believe that in the future women will take over the world and men will be forced to worship them.  Also look at the porn gatherings where men stand in line to get a autograph of their Godess, usually a body part of her.

So you mean "has the sex trade become a religion?"

In the s&m/fetish world, people like to play with religious taboos especially terminology like "worship" and "deification." It's considered play- like other adult role playing. (Oh, for instance the naughty nurse and... you get the drift) It just means you're submitting and serving (in an erotic way.) There are "lifestylers" who like to have submissive and dominant relationships 24/7- but that's most marriages, eh? Dominants and Dominas don't really think they're a pantheon.

In my experience, men go to strip clubs to live out a fantasy that girls would be interested in them. Buying a lap dance because you're hen-pecked by your wife or otherwise lonely and hard up from a girl who is for all intents and purposes boobs, legs and butt is as far from any kind of respect there is. It's a novelty for guys- that strippers, porn stars- will perform for them. Trust me, they aren't considered Goddesses any more than Marilyn Monroe or Angelina Jolie. In the Middle Ages, they'd be called witches for inciting perverse, carnal desires. As I said above, just because someone invests a lot of time and thought into something doesn't make it a religion.

I don't think this kind of affection is competition for God's love, Kevin, do you?

Ask George Bush's pastor. Is he a giver or a taker, now? Definetely a taker.

Beauty is momentary in the mind -
The fitful tracing of a portal;
But in the flesh it is immortal.
The body dies; the body's beauty lives.
So evenings die, in their green going,
A wave, interminably flowing.
So gardens die, their meek breath scenting
the cowl of winter, done repenting.
So maidens die, to the auroral
Celebration of a maiden's choral.
Susanna's music touched the bawdy strings
Of those white elders; but, escaping,
Left only Death's ironic scraping.
Now in its immortality, it plays
On the clear viol of her memory,
And makes a constant sacrement of praise.

('Peter Quince at the Clavier' by Wallace Stevens)

Yeah, I go to strip clubs a lot.  I also go to bars, movies, malls, etc....  I go there and pray with people and see God do amazing things.  I have went to strip clubs and have seen strippers jump on tables and begin to preach.  I have given then bibles and they have took the bibles on stage with them and began to preach in the clubs.  I have seen them set free in the clubs and inner healed.

It is interesting what you brought up though.  Because there is something interesting I have noticed in the S&M community many of the Master and Mistresses when I have talked to them amazed me by how sweet they where and many had an intense prayer life.  But almost everyone I have talked to come from a really strict home.  I have noticed that the subs.  I have not talked to any slaves.  Where usually molested, come from a really strict home or was raped or beat by people in the church.   I met one woman who really liked for people to strangle her and drown her.  She grew up in a very strict religous home and was raped by some of the church leaders.  What has some of your experiences been with the church?

LOL, I have never been Catholic so I wouldn't know about that.  I do enjoy some of the Catholic writings like The Autobiography Of St.  Teresa of Avila.  I did go to a Catholic church once and I found it interesting.
