This album is freaking awsome! Seriously...I was already pretty much in love with Meat Loaf, but now I'm more in love with him. The first track "the monster is loose" sounds diffrent compared to his other albums. Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell 1, 2, and 3 are the sound trtacks to my life. Seriously...he's my hero. Has anyone else heard this album?

I had no idea "Bat Out of Hell III" was out! I love overproduced rock classics. I'm out to buy it this afternoon. Kinda disappointed to see that Jim Steinman wasn't the producer this time though.

I think that Steinman and Meat Loaf had a bit of a falling out, so Desmond Child ended up producing. Still, the Steinman influence is everywhere. Who woulda thought Bat Out of Hell III would include a Celine Dion remake? The stereo has been blaring all afternoon. The CD rocks. And OSD rocks.

Well the only reason Loaf is doing the song is because it was his to begin with. :) I always wanted to hear him sing it instead of her. Glad we're finally getting the opportunity. And you're correct. Steinman did not produce this album, although he did contribute some of the tracks. There was a HUGE falling out between ML and Steinman that actually resulted in a court battle, one result of which is that Steinman is not allowed to say anything bad about this album at all. Which I find really funny. :) I've only given it one listen-through so far because frankly I haven't had time to do anything otherwise. But I like what I've heard so far.
