I seriously must have been living under a rock for too long - I didn't know anything about this movie!

I watched it on the weekend, and expected just another run of the mill thriller.  Instead I ran straight bang into Ed and Nadine...in leather.  What an interesting find...

It was a fairly average movie, but made far more interesting by the TP connections.  Once again they were a dysfunctional couple, although taken much further in this movie.

Anyone else seen this flick (I'm probably the last one!) and want to comment on it?

I got busted trying to sneak into this movie when I was 17. My date was just a shade under 17 and we had to buy tickets to Ernest Scared Stupid just to get in (Which is how I became one of the five people on the planet who saw that film in the theater) but the staff was onto us and had someone waiting at the entrance to People Under the Stairs checking ticket stubs.

So the following week my best friend and I skipped class and went to see it. And I realized that the theater folks had done me a great service by forcing me to see Ernest instead of People Under the Stairs. The only thing that movie is good for is getting to see the actors I like (Wendy Robie, Everett McGill, and AJ Langer). There weren't even any decent lines to recall for cool quips. I would have been better off sitting through the Econ and French classes I'd missed.

That's a fair call...I didn't actually see what year it was made, but it appeared quite dated.

*LOL* Oh my, yes. I see it on TV every now and then and it is quite amazing how dated it looks. It has the stink of early nineties all over it. I have to say, I was really bummed that I ended up not liking it. I remember the trailers and they made it out to be really frightening and weird (I remember the voice-over of the line "He's gotten into the walls again!" and just thinking that sounded so deliciously scary), and instead it was really silly and had literally no scare to it whatsoever. Bummer.

Though not one of Craven's best, I actually like TPUTS. Nice to see a pre-Pulp Ving Rhames. And it's '91, so about the time Peaks was wrappin' up...

DUDE! I totally saw Ernest Scared Stupid at the theater. That movie is awsome. Ernest is my hero.

I haven't seen people under the stairs, but I may rent it this weekend and watch it. I've heard a lolt of mixed reviews from customers.

How would you like to come back to my tardis and take a look at my time vortex?
