Rocky, those are amazing pictures!  I can't believe you all are getting that much.  We seem to be just at the southern tip of the snow.  Today we started out with freezing rain, which is supposed to turn in to thunder-snow again, and reach 6-9 inches by tomorrow afternoon.

We didn't get any of that stuff...well, we got a couple inches and a bunch of sleet, luckily it didn't freeze over...that was on Saturday...you guys really got blasted...it is just gray and slushy here, but with the stinkin' rain that's coming down right now...it'll all be gone soon...

Talked with my best friend in MN and he said there was another 10 inches or so expected.  Haven't talked to him today so I don't know what the final total is yet.  Luckily (or unluckily) it has been warm enough here that we have had thunder storms all morning.  Hopefully the rain will evaporate before the cold air is supposed to come in.  I like the rain and thunderstorms.  Snow storms aren't bad either....

We got another foot of snow with Blizzard conditions.  Of course, everything closed but my work.  I really wish I had a digital camera, so I could show you how bad it looks.  With blowing and drifting snow, they have to keep redoing it.  And school is cancelled for tomorrow!

Uh, it's been windy here.  Yup.  Really blowing.  Up to 15-25 mph.  71 degrees.  Brrrrr.

This weekend it is going to warm up though.  Highs 77 with more gusty wind.

Will this winter never end?

We've officially broken some kind of snow on the ground record here in Colorado.   In typical winter fashion, we've had several mild spring days since Christmas, followed by more dumping snow the next day.

I don't care.  I'm still afraid of summer.

Oh Susan, you are too funny!  Bet you wish you were up in Michigan over the weekend!

Every day when I talk to my mother in Michigan we exchange weather reports. I called her at 5:00 pm yesterday from my car. 70 degrees as the sun was about to set. She said it was snowing there. I ask her to make sure to take photographs. She describes each snowflake but says her camera won't be able to duplicate the detail of each big fluffy flake. She tells me the deer are out in the snow beyond her deck around 7:30 in the morning and I'm dying to see those photos. Those are tough to take because the deer are so skittish at the sound of someone approaching their glass door with a camera.

I love snow from a distance! Always think it would be fun to be up close to it but then when the situation comes up, I suddenly remember how COLD is has to be for there to be snow.

Today is the running of the LA Marathon and a beautiful day it is! The runners are happy because it was 59 degrees as the race began this morning. The slowpokes will not be happy come afternoon when the temperatures downtown are expected to reach 82 degrees.
