OMG, I love Shag.  That is one of my favorite movies.  I just watched it the other day.  Such a great girlfriends on the road summertime kinda movie.  Fantastic dance moves.  I used to try to copy them.

You have excellent taste, as always, MayRay. I would give anything to learn how to do that. I've stolen so many of my dancefloor moves from both of those movies, lol

I got the best man advice ever from Shag: "Make yourself look irresistable and act like you can't stand him."  Works like a charm. :)  I didn't think anyone knew about this gem of a movie.

How come no one on this thread mentioned Showgirls? lol

QUOTE:

Oh, and how about Mad Hot Ballroom?!  THAT is a dance movie.  LOTS of dancing and one of the best even if it is a documentary.

That had long been on my list of docs to see...then today I see it in the $3 DVD's at the pawn shop.  What a great movie!  Fantastic kids.  Then at the end, among the judges of the final competition I see a face that looks so familiar.  The credits confirm it's Ann Reinking, that incredible dancer and choreographer, partner of Bob Fosse, who I adored in All That Jazz (which would be my nominee for best dance movie.)  So I Wiki Reinking, and see the name of the actress who played the Gwen Verdon character in ATJ is... Leland Palmer!  (I'm sure this isn't new to many of you, but it was a fun domino-roll for me!)
