Well, basically I was saying that I think it is a great film and quite different from In The Bedroom. I highlighted Jackie Earle Haley as the best performance in the whole movie, followed by Kate Winslet and all the rest. Now I'm looking forward to read the book Parretta wrote before transforming it into a screenplay together with Todd Field. I remember someone of you said he saw the film. So, give voice to your thoughts on the movie. I'm interested!

Okay, you got me. I saw it. It's in my top ten films of the year. Loved it. Loved Kate, she was marvelous. I loved in the Bedroom and yeah I did like Little Children more. The mood of the film is something that;s hard to describe unless you are actually watching it. I thought it was really funny in parts too. Patrick Wilson is a fine actor too, I thought he magnificent in Angels in America and hope to see him do more feature films down the road.

I'd like to know what do you think about that scene between Wilson and Emmerich in the van, when they talk about something the second did to a boy during a shooting and that explains why Ronnie's mother tells him "Shut up, bully!". One or two scenes featuring Jennifer Connelly are quite mysterious too and I'd like to know what you think of them. I'm referring to one scene where she does a sort of double-speech to her husband talking about some weird interaction between a man and his son and another one where she's working on the editing of a documentary she's made interviewing a kid whose father was killed in Iraq... I got an only for eductional purpose copy of the film, so I had to watch the film in the original language and some scenes are still foggy because were too low-key in the acting. Basically, I didn't quite get what the actors were saying. I mean, I got the whole movie picture, but some little things are still quite unclear to me. I read that the film was released in the american theatres as a limited edition. I think it's a pity that such a good film didn't get properly distributed around your country. I hope it gets distributed here in Italy soon, so that I can watch in Italian and have a deeper analysis.
