My friend Luis told me about the Rage reunion, I would love to go to that festival and he also mentioned Jesus and Mary Chain are gonna be there too, those two acts alone would make it for me. I am not going to watch the Grammy's because I can;t stand most of the people that are nominated, so hopefully You Tube will have the Police reunion stuff for me to watch.

Didn't they just do one of these hyped reunions at the Hall of Fame Awards about 5 years ago? And they broke up in the mid-80s, morely like 20, not 30 years. I always thought they were pretty overrated. Their " reunion" was hyped because of the "it'll never happen" stigma surrounding "personal tensions".  Geez, can we be civil enough to play a few oldies (& take the money & run)?   Another disappointment, the trumpeted Cream reunion. Flaccid versions of their back catalogue. Yeah, let's see if they record anything new...   The best reunion of the past few years is that of the N. Y. Dolls. Johansen had said "never, no way", but I guess Morrisey was pretty convincing, & it was a bittersweet affair, considering Arthur Kane's post-concert demise (see the doc New York Doll).  The live album kicks hard!!! And the new album, with 4 new members (& all new songs) is essentially a new band & a new day...  Screw the Police, snuggle up to the NEW New York Dolls!!!

Regardless of how everyone feels about reunions and I feel that way myself sometimes, nothing is gonna stop me from seeing The Police when they play at Wrigley Field...I already have a regular guest working on tickets thriough as he put it his "very reliable ticket broker"...They broke up a year or so before I attended my first concert, so I never got to see them in their heyday, so I am gonna see them now.

So, they're actually doing a tour?  I did enjoy Stewart Copeland's doc : People Stare At  Us (or something like that)... Didn't catch 'em in their "heyday"? Catch 'em in their "GREYday"!!  (oops, that's "PLATINUMday"!!!)

Is this a one time performance or a cheap plug for the corporate sponsored $500 a ticket reunion tour coming this summer?

And yes not quite 30 years, The first album came out in 1979 (I think). Aw, High School Days remembers: ROXANNE!!!!!!!

I will be watching this reunion on Sunday.  My mom loves Sting.  I heard rumors about the Police touring.  I also heard on the radio they may come here.  If so, I think I may take my mom to see them.

 Yes,they did,REBEL.

I like the fact that Madonna won in the category"Best electronic/dance"album although I would be really pleased if PSB with "Fundamental"would have won...but it was hard competition for them..Goldfrapp..Madonna..

Wow! Pet Shop Boys were nominated for a Grammy? This is the reason I never watch them, because great acts like these two fine lads are never nominated. When Suzanne Vega wasn't nominated for her last CD I had lost what scant hope I had left for the Grammys. On the other hand, Pat Metheny still manages to win on now and then.

Actually PSB were nominated more than for this category.Another nomination was "Best dance recording"with the song "I am with stupid" but among rivals were also"Depeche Mode" with "Suffer well"and "Get together"Madonna and another time Goldfrapp. But the winner was "Sexy Back"Timberlake

Hmmm, I seem to recall watching the Police in the early part of the Grammy's.  My husband and I had a discussion about how good he looks and how you can sure tell the difference between the clean-living (relatively speaking) rock stars versus the druggies.

Is the show over yet?  I swear, We were watching the Red Carpet (always my favorite part of any award show) around 7:00 and by 11:30, the Grammy's was STILL on.

Saw Prince, thought he'd perform but he didn't. That was disappointing. Christina Aguilera did James Brown proud with "This is a Man's World."  Smokey Robinson's voice cracked.  Wonder what kind of album Scarlett Johanssen is making...

Little less than two weeks to recover and get ready for Oscar-Oscar.

Slept through the Grammaws m'self... Wait, PRINCE was on, but they had Crucifix-tina do the JB tribute instead?! What, were Taylor Hicks & William Hung busy?!   Happy the Chicks scored so big (as well as Rick Rubin), for artistic & political reasons.  HOORAY for free speech & stickin' to one's guns (even if you're in favor of gun control)!!!  I've been enamoured of Long Way Home since it came out.  Sting Who?
