The part that makes me laugh the hardest is when the director exits the stage and you can hear him ranting and it sounds like he's just walking away from it all, and then suddenly he bursts through the set door and continues to rant. I don't know why. Gets me every time.

LOVE it! Lily Tomlin is like Larry David to me. I couldn't begin to take anything she was saying seriously even when she's serious because I am so accustomed to her as a comedienne. This bit is so fabulous! I wonder if either of them have had any comments about it now that the storm has blown over. I especially love the others in the room who either slink out of the room or remain stationary trying to disappear into the scenery. And when the director storms back into the room -- why, it's like a comedy sketch! "I never yelled at you! Have I ever screamed at you?" he shouts. Or something to that effect. It's just fabulous!
