In this thread you will be able to ask questions that do not deserve their own threads.
Such as: "What was that one painting with the birds and the snow and stuff all around? You know the one, by that guy".

Do not ask questions that a quick Google search will provide the answer to.

James, I have been wondering the same thing!  I was going to Google it but decided that wasn't fair in this thread.

I hope he pops in again soon.  And I hope things are going so well for him that he just doesn't have time for us.

I love that painting, Booth! Your description conjures up an image of a scene from A Simple Plan.  Black and white in color.

Was anyone else absolutely, almost mystically, enthralled by the end credit sequence of the old Saturday morning Hudson Brothers show?  It was that big boxy van driving down a bunch of country roads in fast-motion...

I emailed Erwin.

I wonder why the timing in this board is always off; I can't set it to my GMT time.

Like this? It's says it's the intro, but there is a van driving in fast motion down a bunch of roads.

No, I didn't find that enthralling at all.

I thought about Fod (Friend of Dorothy) yesterday. Have any of you heard form him? I think Susan said he had some personal stuff going on. But hello??? He used to be such an active member and then suddenly disappeard. So, does anyone talk to him outside the gazette?

Good thread!

I used to talk to him via the wonders of email quite regularly, and he did have some personal stuff to attend to the last time I heard from him, which must be about a year ago now.  I know he had found another board to post on which was more relevant to his lifestyle and he was enjoying meeting people on there to talk to.  I do hope he's ok, I haven't heard from him for a long time, as I said.  I miss him on the board and he was always good fun to chat to

I know the Log Weasel used to talk to him a lot, but I haven't heard from her for a while.  I hope she's ok as well.

My theory by A. Elk, brackets, Miss, brackets. This theory goes as follows and begins now. All brontosauruses are thin at one end, much much thicker in the middle, and then thin again at the far end. That is my theory, it is mine, and it belongs to me, and I own it, and what it is, too.

Yeah, I saw that intro, but there was an outro too, which is the one I remember -- if, in fact, I remember it... I could be patching old memories together. I smoked a lot of crack between the ages of six and ten.

But no man can resist the hypnotic charms of Rod Hull and his emu.

More seriously, does anyone remember a kids' book about a young boy, from some non-white-people country, who leaves or gets separated from his family, and ends up on some adventure that may or may not involve gypsies but which almost definitely involves an elephant (maybe not a real one, I'm not sure)?

Yes, I too have been thinking about FOD a lot of late. *cough* I've also been thinking about Ditte, Flange, Log Weasel, Herofix, Nuart, Kelly, 'Manda Panda and all of you. *sigh*

I would hazard a guess he's been very busy getting back in touch with the "real world" (not the shitty TV show) and meeting other like minded homosexualists. I don't think he lost touch with any of you out of malice or because he's a bad person. I just think he's really crap at staying in touch sometimes and then when things have drifted he beats himself up at being so naff at keeping close with folks.

FOD! FOD! Where are thee, FOD!?!

My question is what was the colour of those drapes in that TV show a few years back with whatsherface and thingy-ma bob. It was huge. Everyone was watching it. You know, the show with the brocolli.

On the second day he came
With a single red rose
Said "Will you give me your loss and your sorrow?"
I nodded my head as I lay on the bed
He said, "If I show you the roses will you follow?"

On the third day he took me to the river
He showed me the roses and we kissed
And the last thing I heard was a muttered word
As he stood smiling above me
With a rock in his fist

They call me the wild rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me it I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day

I never had him pegged for the malicious type...I just assumed there would be a good reason for his disappearance...which I think I may have just invented on another thread...
