Thought I would post a few pics of the crap I am getting here.  Remember, it's not the snow that bothers me, its the lack of proper preparation and removal that really gets under my skin.  Going to the airport last night was a nightmare.  We were on the express way and I was only going 35 but I was sliding all over.  I saw a total of 3 trucks but they weren't plowing.  Besides the snow, we are also getting sleet and freezing rain.  It is days like this that I long for MN sooooo much more.  OH really sucks when it comes to snow.  I would even take moving back up to MI right now because OH is so horrible.  This makes the "blizzard" of 2000 seem like nothing.

These are the steps of death.  Solid cement that get very icy because there is nothing underneath them...kind of like a bridge...I have to walk down those.

Out my backdoor.  Can you see where the street is?

This is out the front window.  Notice how the only spots were snow is gone is where it's been driven on.  The reason why this bothers me is because there is a fire station towards the end of my street and they come whipping down all the time.  My street is a drive through for them and there is a light at one end.  So, I just hope the fire trucks don't get in an accident when they are driving on this.

It's not supposed to stop anytime soon. We are supposed to get a foot on top of the already 4 inches we had.  Needless to say, I am staying home.

Cool, overcast except...

Coming down the bridge there was one sun break, maybe 50-100 meters wide (accurate but not precise) shining right down in the middle of Elliott Bay, the beam visible in the wet air, the spot it hit the water shining in brilliant glory.  Awesome.

It's been beautiful for a few days -- rain (glorious rain!) and clouds (big, dark, fast-moving ones!) with occasional sunbursts.  It's bound to end soon.

Here in Coventry, England it's been snowing it's arse off. It's now raining and is going into the negatives which means it will all freeze and provide me with loads of fun driving home.

It's COLD.  low was about 12 last night, highs only up to the low 20's so far.  We've had 3 bright sunny days since this snowfall and it's almost all still here.  Our night work the other night was pretty brutal- 9 degrees.  At least it hasn't been windy.

brrrrr.

Where you at bio?  It looks very high desertish to me.

Here at 105ft above the lovely Puget Sound (47 62n, 122 36w) it is raining and it is forecast to keep raining at least through Wednesday.  Good thing I like rain.

I'm in Wyoming at the moment, up on some BLM land near Lander.  Yesterday was nice (about 30 and sunny), and today it looks to crack 40.  They are forecasting low 60's for next week.

Ah, not what I was thinking but makes sense now that you say it.  Hope you enjoy the warming trend.  Spring is on the way.

Sunny, 80 degrees yesterday for St. Paddy's day.

Sunny and 72 this morning but will be 80 by afternoon.  Down to the mid-50s at night.

Pretty much perfect  but more perfect this weekend if the forecast holds true with showers expected Sunday and a temperature drop to the 60s.  Then a return to sun-sun-sun by Monday morning.

It is absolutely beautiful today! Warm and sunny! I have the kitchen door open. Nice breeze coming through. I would love to take the plastic off the windows and open them up but I am afraid...screw it! I'm going to take it down!

Gray, cool, rain forecast 40%.

Sunday was crazy.  Started off with snow, I think it has snowed more times this year than the previous fifteen winters I've lived here and maybe more total accumulation as well.  Then it SNOWED, big clumps like two inches on the long side and maybe three quarters of an inch at the middle.  Kept up for like half an hour and switched to rain.  The rest of the day wind, rain and sun.  Wave after wave.  Nice day to be inside watching.

Snowing, again.  It is unlikely to stick as it is too warm (36f at Boring Field) and wet (rained like an individual inclined to maternal incest earlier) but it out there.  What a winter.

Balmy, breezy and rainy here in Massachusetts. All in all, not bad.

The days of rain we've had recently have swelled the Suwannee and Santa Fe Rivers to flood stage.  On returning home from a few errands today, we found a note on our door telling us the river is "projected to rise to historic levels..."  Voluntary evacuation.  Many living right on the river are getting ready. Our land is still 10' above what they're forecasting.  Fingers crossed.

It's been snowing about once a week, more if it skips a week, between lovely 65 degree spring weather. I never know what I'm going to have to chip off my car; a sheet of ice, or bluebird shit.

I was pleasantly surprised by a nice, long night rain the other day. Today it's sunny and mild.

But it's going to snow again on Thursday. Dang Colorado.

I was kidding about the weather on the May Day thread, yesterday was most peoples idea of a gorgeous day, sunny and probably in the low 70s with nice, clean air, for the city that is.  Good for the air sacks.

Today, light rain and the upper 50s for a high which I like just fine.

It's as if a inconceivably vast but still some how inconsequential portion of the Pacific Ocean evaporated and traveled thousands or hundreds or tens of miles before encountering a relatively cool bulge of dirty rock where it all bunched up causing a significant portion of it to precipitate.

Sunny, warm.  Sunny, warm.  Sunny, warm.

Our summer seems to have arrived about a month and a half early.

Our summeryest summer following close on the heals of our winteryest winter?

Triple digits every day for so long and into the foreseeable future.  I've been reading the January TPG weather reports just to cool down.
