Rather temperate in Seattle these days (compared to the rest of the USA), so likely to be lovely for the fest!!!

Rainy, nice and cool and rainy, just the way I like it.

It had been 27 days without measurable precipitation and only .24 inches from June 1st to Aug. 9th before the first showers, Sunday morning here.  Stack that on top of the record high, 103F, we had a week or two back and it's been quite a summer following on the heals of quite a winter.

I'm in south Florida and it was raining a few minutes ago. I think it's stopped.

Quite normal for August in Southern Wisconsin.  Highs in the mid 80's to lower 90's.  Had wicked storms this weekend--but no rain is in the forecast for this week.  It's kind of good now that we are getting some heat--my tomatoes on the stoop need some heat to ripen up. ;) I am looking forward to fall though--my absolute favorite time of year.  I'm not a fan of hot weather...would much prefer it cooler.

Kinda nice today with temps in the balmy upper 80s.  Seasonably cooler than usual, but where is that not the case this global warming summer?

Cool and gray at the moment.  We had one hell of a thunderstorm yesterday here in the south sound.  By far the best I've ever experienced here in the PNW.  Very atypical for these parts.

Sunny and HOT today.  'Bout 94 or so now...supposed to cool down on Sunday, but bring storms with it.  It was still 79 at midnight last night...

Fall is most certainly on its way.  Yay!! Got to about 72 today and tonight may dip into the 40's.  Yum.  Tomorrow is supposed to be a carbon copy of today--low 70's, all sun, calm wind.  Gorgeous.

108 degrees today.  Same thing yesterday.  Our glass patio door shattered into thousands of minute glass shards during the heat of the day.  The board-up guy said it could have been the tap of a small bird's wings combined with old glass and the high temps.  The hole at the top looked as if a condor had flown through but there were no feathers in sight.

Meanwhile the fires are blazing in the mountains about 25 miles east of us.  This a photo I took from a hillside in my neighborhood.  This fire is 5% contained.  Air quality... uh, not so good.  Maybe days more of this.

Kansas City has been in the low to mid 70s for a couple of days now with slightly overcast skies, and a nice cool breeze from the northwest I think. Forecast shows the same thing for pretty much the next two weeks. Very nice (especially for August)

I am loving the fall like weather here in Minneapolis. It's a nice change from the bowls of hell known as Central Ohio....

Raining every day in Southern Florida. There's a delicious breeze in the afternoon and an abundance of heat in the morning. I've noticed the sky at 6:30 AM is a very beautiful sight, if that counts for anything.

It's been an unusually cold winter in Denver, holding at 8 degrees-- frigid!!!--- for longer than anyone I have talked to has ever experienced. Hard just to make it to the car!

Frigid here in the midwest too.  Are you buried under a foot of snow too?

No, just a few frozen inches. Skiing is impossible as everything is just sheets of ice. I should find a pond to ice skate on!

Yep, cold here. I think the temp might have crept up to 13 now...windchills are making it feel colder. We got about 18 inches of snow with the storm.
