I was reading about the Malibu fires this morning, too. Matthew McConaughey, Flea and Minnie Driver were evacuated with 10,000 others, Suzanne Somers' home was destroyed.  Someone on TMZ said "these fires are a non issue. Those homes are insured to the hilt."  Harsh, huh?

It snowed the day after I left for NY, and there's still snow on the ground here in Colorado. Here we go again...

Yesterday morning was beautiful.  Minus five, and a frosty sheen covering everything and a bright blue sky above.  Now today is grey and dreary and threatening to rain.  At least I can look out of the window into the woods behind the house and enjoy all the shades of orange and red adorning the trees.

I must say, its finally getting to the weather I like.  Its nippy out but just enough to make a big sweater and wool socks cozy.  It's been a really weird season this year.  We had weather in the 60s this November.  October saw some 70s too.  I've been at my parents for the holdiay so I don't really knwo how it is back home but from what I have seen, its beautiful...

Snow...snow...and, um...oh yeah...snow.  We've already got over 3 inches since this morning--supposed to get up to a foot by the time this is all done tonight.  We went out and played in it this morning--and just as we started on the Interstate, there was a HUGE accident.  A car went in front of a semi in the middle of its turns and WHAM.  It's not easy trying to move to let the ambulances and firetrucks by when traffic's all bottled up and the roads are greasy.  Supposed to freezing rain and sleet in between the snow...so we're going to be holed up like two little squirrels all today and night.  Tomorrow though, if it's done storming, we'll probably go sledding.

I'm packing my bags, on the way over now...haven't been sledding in years!!!

Anywho, the weather here is still bloody rain.  Rain rain rain rain rain.  Welcome to England, have a nice day...

I wish you were coming Ange--that would rock. :)

We're up to about 6-6 1/2 inches or so...it turned to sleet and freezing rain this afternoon--you should hear it pelting up against the window--so now it's ice accumulation on top of the snow.  Talked with Eric's parents up North--they are supposed to get about 18 inches. Ouch.

They say its going to snow the day after tomorrow, hope its a mistake..I hate snow and I hate cold.Funny,I was born in a cold country and since I escaped from there I hate winter.Sometimes we go to Andorra which is quite near to ski but one day is enough for me.

This was my street ten days or so ago, and I'm told it's what my street will be like again by Monday morning.

I guess Chicago got pounded last night! Cleveland got some snow, but it's going to hit here in the afternoon/early evening. which means it's probably going to be raining while were tailgating (what is this OSU/Michigan revisited?) I know I'm crazy, but I wanted snow, snow and more snow for the game. Real Cleveland (and Chicago) football weather!! Sorry, Susan, didn't bring my camera (because of the likelihood of rain) hopefully, the heavy snowfall will still be in Chi-town when I get back.

We have snow this year.Last winter I was lucky not to see it.Cold.Bad roads, accidents as cars are not prepared for these conditions. The only good thing is that I couldnt take my car today and stayed at home, without going to work. One more free day is never bad.

Serious competetion for you, Smokey!  Better get back to Chi-town ASAP and haul out the camera.  Notice that JVSCant was actually right in the path of the spider and trudging through the snow.  (as opposed to some who just push aside the drapes in their warm and cozy pad....)

64 and sunny here today.  Yawwwwwwn.

Grrrrrrrrrr.

We've had unending snowfall all day.  Pizza won't even deliver, and I can hardly blame them.

Is it because of the giant spiders?

Actually, with giant spiders as delivery vehicles they'd be able to get here without waiting for the snowplows. If the world wasn't melting there'd be a niche market here for some clever entrepreneur arachnophile.

Enjoying the West Coast, Raymond???

If it's any consolation to you folks in the deep freeze, Los Angeles is going to have weather on Tuesday.  Or so they say.  I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bluff.

TUE

57°F
47°F
