Another snow storm. Weatherman predicted up to 8 inches this morning. We've already got about 3--supposed to stop snowing sometime tonight.

We now fear we won't be seeing any snow at all over here...i'm not a big fan of the white cold...but not having it at all, for the whole year seems kinda strange and sad even for me...it's a strange world, isn't it?

It's almost 30! After having several weeks of mostly below zero temperatures, this feels like SPRING! It's sunny out now and is melting. Next week's supposed to be almost 40 and rain. Cannot. Wait. Sick of winter. On the news the other day they said our city has had 57 inches of snow this winter. Last year we had 17.

The sun is shining now but it poured all night long. Lotsa puddles for water-loving labradors to slosh through. It's about 55 so far this morning. Here's the forecast throughout the day... Sunday: Rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High 56F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall near a half an inch.
Sunday night: A few showers this evening with mostly cloudy conditions overnight. Low near 45F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 30%. Everyone's concerned that the Academy Awards will be hampered with wet arrivals on a soggy Red Carpet. Susan

It got to 50 degrees yesterday. And rained. A lot. This morning, it was 20, and all of the water that had melted FROZE. Supposed to dip down to 8 tonight, with highs in the teens for the next few days. But then...*TRUMPET SOUND*...temps in the 40's!!!! In a ROW!!!! Know what that means? All our stupid, dirty, crusty snow can take a flying leap! WOO-HOO!!!!! Bring on the Spring. This calls for the Spring dance...

Here in the Buckeye State, the weather people decided our snowstorm is a blizzard now. I have a handful of snow drifts that are five feet or so, and it's not quite done yet.

And I was one of the stupid people who tried to drive through it from Columbus to Toledo...took 3 hours to get 40 miles. Feel free to call me an idiot, point and laugh at me.

It's what I like to call Wacky Washington weather so you bundle up in the morning and it's very unpleasent because you have the wind blowing around that weird mist that always seems to fall from the sky. Then you look out the window in the afternoon and it's sunny and spring and happy. Washington weather has bipolar disorder.

Nice to see Deli on the board again! Yay! It's almost 50 outside right now with straight sunshine. Gor-geous. Going to go play outside as soon as Eric is done with work. I can't wait until it wams up to the mid 60's or higher--then the windows are coming open in the house. When it's in the 40's, the sunroof comes open. :) Needs to be about 20 degrees or so warmer for the house windows...LOL. **EDIT** Typical Wisconsin spring...going to be almost 50 again today...then we're supposed to get up to 7 inches of SNOW overnight. HA! As Spring dangles its lovely if taunting carrot...then WHAM! Winter squeezes out a big ol' pile of white, fluffy stink! The good news however, is that the ground should be nice and warm so the snow should melt rapidly. But still...7 inches of snow...BAH!

Rocky, you and Eric will be out there on your toboggans for Easter, I'll bet! Here in sunny Southern California we're expecting... another perfect day. Yawn. Followed by a perfect weekend. And then, well, you know, another week of balmy sunshine. The flowers are all in bloom. My hydrangeas are making a full comeback after the "winter" when they were cut way back. Poppies, pansies, rose buds, and impatients = looking fresh and dewy. Does it get any better than this Seven-Day Forecast?

Actually, Susan--I think we are going to out sledding this afternoon. We've got about 4 inches or so since last night. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 40's with possible rain, so we should go now before all of the snow melts. One last hurrah down the hill before Spring is here for GOOD. Going to be upper 40's all next week. YAY! Am most jealous that your flowers are in bloom...can't wait for ours to raise their sleepy heads and bloom. I am so ready for some color...green grass...vibrant flowers...SUN...BLUE SKY....Ahhhhh...

This really is the prettiest time of the year here before the heat shrivels and dries out everything, Rocky. Yesterday, while walking Lola my breath was taken away by the most intense fuschias and violets of the bouganvillea vines draping over a wall down the street from us. As the sun sets, the air is filled with the sweetest perfume of orange blossom that makes you take a deep breath to fill your air bags! The sky is clear and blue. The sunsets are pink over indigo. While I love to see those pretty snow photos with bare branches, I remind myself why I said back in 1969, "I don't care if I never see another snowflake in my life" before heading west. Susan

It's the strangest Easter ever! -12 C and lots of snow. Last year we sat out in the sun and had some beer and wine, this year we stayed inside and lit a fire...

Mostly cloudy here at 7 Mercer. Forcast for Seattle; rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, etc. Forcast for the Sol Duc Hot Springs, where I'm headed tomorrow; rain, rain, snow, snow, rain, etc. Perfect hot springs weather! You may now envy me. rb

Cloudy at the moment, 50 minutes ago it was what i took to be snow pellets ("...are formed as a result of accreation of supercooled droplets onto what is initially a falling ice crystal, also called soft hail or graupel."-National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Weather) On April 18th. In Seattle. Crazy. rb
