WTF?!? I had to turn my heat on last night! Spring stake your claim and get on with it!! Going to the day game today with Scot, Mike and Jesse where it will be a balmy 45 degree (with a high of 53F). Nothing like tailgating in late April with a thermal on under your jersey.

Seasonal upwelling brings this thread to the surface once again.

Seattle; Sun (stupid Sun), Heat , but probably not have as hot as the heat you are having to put up with (stupid Heat)

BUT...

30% chance of thunderstorms on Monday!

Yeah!

Yes, and I will be huddled up front by the little air conditioner. You need a book you can find it yourself!

Just kidding.  That's normal around here.  Just kidding again, sort of.  We do assume a certain level of capability but I will help if you really can't do .

Anyway, Seattle right now; Warm and sunny with haze, Olympics out, Rainier not.

Happy Hempfest!  Remember your sun screen and to avoid heat stroke, unless you into stuff like that.

Yeah, for Seattle.  I went on my annual trip back to the mid west in July and while I was in central Missouri I had to remind myself that I could breathe in that humidity, it just felt like I suffocating.  Good perspective to bring back.  That having been said this will be one of the few days that I'm glad CJ had AC put in here at the old TSTQA.

Enjoy the game! Go Bears!  Oh, sorry.  I guess you can take the boy out of Illinois but you can't take Illinois out the boy.  (It's all a lie anyway, If I'm a fan of anyone it's the Packers.  They are the only team whose ownership I can respect.)

A thunderstorm started night before last around 2am and didn't stop til around 2pm today. At noon I thought it was the middle of the night. Everything is flooded. Record-breaking chill, the paper said, and I have the heat cranked. Tempted to buy firelogs- and it's been scorching all month. Sometimes Colorado can't figure out which season it's in. We have 90 degree days followed by snowstorms in spring.

Wish I was in Malibu- oh, wait. That's next weekend.

YOW!  Anyone hurt?  I was up the Pouder canyon while visiting my father in Ft. Collins last month and remember thinking  'a flash flood around here could really mess up your day.'

You can break a sweat down here by just standing outside for a few minutes.  The humidity is off the charts, and I can't wait until my favorite season fall arrives!

After several blazing hot days, Colorado has suddenly decided it's autumn.  I give it two and a half weeks before the snow starts, then a little heat wave, then more snow.

Sunny and cool.  I'm cool with the cool (yeah, and you too cool), the sunny, meh.

It seems like autumn came a month early to the PNW.  Cool, rainy and cloudy have been the standard for the last couple of weeks here which normally holds off until late September.  Even I, the cool rain lover that I am, was feeling a little ripped off.  On top of that I woke up at 0530 Monday and the sun wasn't even up!  Oh well, another trip back down the well.  Only three months and 18 days until the days start getting longer again.

It is fantastic out.  Sunny and cool. Yesterday it was HOT! Got to 93. Then a cold front came in about 5 in the afternoon and dropped almost 25 degrees in an hour.  Right now we're sitting at a lovely 68.  Can't tell you how awesome that feels, when we've had NIGHTTIME LOWS in the lower 70's.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

I've been watching Ike, too, REBEL. Hope those winds pass you by.  Here in N. Central Florida, we had pounding rain yesterday and today the mosquitoes will carry you off!

Coolish and dark here.

Looks a little scary from here REBEL, keep you head down not too far though in case of flooding.

I'm kind of glad we can't, for the most part, see our disasters coming here in the PACNW.

& out

Now that is one pretty weather map for some ugly weather.

Rain, NWS is saying a 70% chance of snow Sunday! Whoo Hoo!

Shit, now they're saying 60% snow tomorrow, and 70% rain or snow for Sunday.  Oh well, we'll see. Probably.

Anyway, snow in Seattle, fun and entertaining.

We still have last weekend's snow in Denver, and more started in the mountains. Should pile up all over all weekend.

Northeast had a huge ice storm yesterday. 255,000 lost power in NY, where I'll be for Xmas

There are 10 inches of snow standing on Lower Queen Anne and the sun is shining. (50% of the preceding statement was bullshit, I'll leave it to you to figure out which.)

There goes the sun.  The NWS is still calling 70/30/70% for snow this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow.  On the ride in  there was a dark gray cloud mass to the north east of the city which seems to support the snow forcast.

As near as I can tell that is what has to happen around here to get snow.  We have pleanty of moisture and get a fair abount of 'cold' air but it is rare that the two come together, since our cold air masses come from the interior they are fairly dry.

It's scarcity might help explain why I'm going on and on about it.  The local news casts can be fairly entertaining, they send reporters to stand out at some remote and go to them no matter what.  "As you can see Sue there is no snow here yet but the conditions are certainly conducive to it and it is possible that..." "Chet, Chet we have to break away from you, we're getting reports of flake sightings in the north county area!" Of course if they really want a money shot of the white stuff flying (this is what might be called 'fishing for Booth') they can always send someone up Snow-call-a-me pass.

This has been your eyewitness weather update for the aught (Sp?) block of Mercer (NDD), hope you are enjoying  the weather where you are.

It was a clear and sunny 49 degrees today at noon!  Brrrrr.  I donned a Christmas sweater and my santa cap AND a pair of gloves to brave the winter wonderland.  Went to my mom's senior apartment for champagne brunch and then out to the Hallmark store afterward.  Brrrrrr, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  And feel like it too!!!

Feel sorry for the power-less contingency up in the Northeast.  What do you do when the power goes out for days on end?
