Wow. I hope that storm petters out. I guess the best thing ( if there is any) about a tornado is they don't cover a big area. Batten down the hatches and wait it out Reb.

Weather in New York has been Springlike for a while now, thank goodness. We hit 75 a couple days ago. Flowers have started, bumble bees are humming, and birds are marching around. And no freezing temps recently.

As for bees, oh my gosh, the size of this bee/hornet thing I saw today!! It was literally smacking off the window trying to get in, thank goodness it didn't evil looking thing....

Ho, hum, what can I say.  I feel like Steve Martin in LA Story.  Sun-sun-sun.  82 degrees a while ago when I drove up my street at 4:30 pm.  The orange blossoms are filling the air with the yummiest aroma.  I am reluctant to turn on the AC.  Turned on a fan.  Tomorrow - more of the same.  Yawn.

The heat here in Bangkok is crazy!!!

Today it´s 38 C/100 F. A couple of days ago when I was away on Koh Chang, we got up to 42 C. I´m glad I wasn´t here. Pui, our lovely receptionists, tells us that next month will be even hotter. I have never experienced such heat and humidity (around 37) before.

AC is not something you consider out here, it´s just always ON!

We're at around 16 degrees C today in Manchesterford. It's unusually sunny & cloudless too. I say unusual as we tend to garner the highest rainfal of any city in England. Manchesterford ain't known for it's cloudless, sunny days.

It's beautiful! Sadly, I'm at work! *sigh*

On the second day he came
With a single red rose
Said "Will you give me your loss and your sorrow?"
I nodded my head as I lay on the bed
He said, "If I show you the roses will you follow?"

On the third day he took me to the river
He showed me the roses and we kissed
And the last thing I heard was a muttered word
As he stood smiling above me
With a rock in his fist

They call me the wild rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me it I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day

Snow. Wet snow. Melts in your mouth, not in your hand.

I moved to Maine in November, and come January I felt like frickin' Nanook

of the North. Or Quinn the Eskimo. Whatever. Never saw so much snow in my whole

entire life. Oh well, I'd rather be here than Philadelphia..........

............NOT that I'm complaining!

I LOVE Maine!

The town where I live, Millinocket, is VERY "Twin Peaks" (everyone knows each other, everyone helps each other out)

The air is crystal clear, the water very fresh and COLD when you turn on the faucet......

At night you can see every star in the sky (most nights) and most every day is blue sky and sun!!!!

I'm HOME!

It was a lovely day today.  About 70ish, cool but warm enough for no jacket outside of my suit coat.  For the past month or so we have had the heat off.  It's nice if you ask me...I prefer that time in Spring and Fall where its cool enough to not have any heat or air on...although its supposed to be snowing by the end of the week.  Meh, I'm used to this.  First year in MN and there was a foot of snow on the ground April 1st, so if it snows, I'm not surprised.  I just hope there is no wind on Saturday, being that I have to drive "up north" for Easter dinner on Sunday.

Weird. Plain weird.  Last week it was 84, then there were some local tornadoes...today was 56...and Wednesday is supposed to be a high of 35 with SNOW! Mmmkay...then the forecast said it will jump back to the 50's and upper 60's...which is quite normal for here in April.  We have had a ton of rain lately...which has made the grass sprout up and the lilac trees start to bud.  Hope the snow doesn't zap 'em.  The snow is supposed to be mixed with rain, so it shouldn't be too bad, as the temp's aren't supposed to stay that cold for more than two nights.

What's next? Giant frogs bouncing off of our heads? ;)

Wow. I'm kind of feelish sheepish about my weather compared to everyone else. We've been high 70's, cool breezes (although the last two days have been moderate winds), mostly sunny all day. Kind of like Susan's weather, only with a nip in the air still. :) Checking weather.com, we're supposed to get a little rain middle of next week...

Our weather has been just kind of strange lately. Usually we're at least drizzly throughout March, warming up a tad in April but still maintaining a weekly drizzle. But March was really stinkin' dry and except for a slight warm patch towards mid-March, the last two months have been temperate-to-chilly. The nights are positively icy for this time of year.

Not that I'm complaining...*LOL* I'm enjoying this all now while it's here because I have a feeling we're going to get another horrific summer like last year. And this time I'm probably going to be actually IN California when the 115 temps arrive.

Glasgow is sunny today (it does happen!!!). Not a cloud in the sky, not warm though, low-mid 50's F.

We're being promised even better weather for the Easter weekend - we might hit 60F.

Sorry to be a downer, but I would get so depressed living in that kind of weather...where a sunny day isn't the norm, but a rarity.

It's starting to get chillier here as we head into Autumn/Winter.  I already have a cold.  It's 93 today.

It's 22 out right now. Windy. Cold. Supposed to be back in the 40's by Easter and then 50's again next week, so it looks like Spring will be coming back.  Eric's parents, about 4 hours North of here, got 6 inches of snow last week, and my friend in Michigan got 34 inches! Wacky weather, I say!   We had flurries.

As Johnny Cochran used to opine, "A pitcher is worth a thousand words..."

Another day in Paradise...

f

Late afternoon, pre-BBQ, post doggie swim, in Encino, CA.  Here's David with Lola and her boyfriend, Kodi (he's the less attractive Lab on the right) at our friend's house a couple of weeks ago. Makes little difference that's it's not this week, because the weather is the same. More yawn, ho hum. Sure, they're teasing us with forecasts of drizzle but I have long since lost all confidence in the rain predictors.  If it does happen, it probably won't be measurable.  So far this rainy season, we've had about 2.5 inches. And the rainy season is really over.

This morning's paper had a lovely photo of bicycles in Maine. Coated about 3" deep in the gorgeous white stuff.

Ho hum, Susan--I like that picture of Lola, her boyfriend and David.  Well, that's what ya get for living in California!

We had record lows last night, down to 12 F; the sun is shining now, but they say it might snow later this week.  It's the strangest thing!  The farmers and the florists are all up in arms, alarmed that some of their crops won't make it.  Today's paper said the frost may have killed all the local strawberries!  So for the folks that go strawberry-picking, it looks like a no-go.

Well, it's always fun to have snow on my birthday!
