Well, maybe not. But that is the last line in the Passover seder (which began tonight), so I thought I'd creatively find a way to wish everyone a Happy Passover. I think we lost the explanation from last year on this board, so I'll be brief. Passover is an 8-day celebration for Jewish people celebrating the Exodus from Egypt. According to tradition, since the Hebrews were warned that the Angel of Death would be flying through Egypt to smite the first-born sons of the Egyptians, they smeared lamb's blood on the opening to their homes, and the Angel passed over their houses, leaving the Jewish children safe. The next day, the Pharoah sent the Jews packing from Egypt to wander in the desert... Let's eat Matzah and drink the wine! L'Chaim!

Happy Passover to you too, Annie. I did my part last weekend a bit prematurely. Bought a brisket and fixed up a dandy dinner for Friday and Saturday with little red potatoes and sliced carrots too. I have named it Susan's Shiksa Brisket. Like the rabbi once told me, my being Jewish is all but a formality. The brisket should have set me over the edge. Tonight I got a Happy Passover call from my next door neighbor who is renting out his home for the next three days for a Disney promo commercial. There will be trucks and traffic jams up and down the street. I think it was an effort to soothe me but I didn't need any soothing. I don't mind the film crews. They want to use my driveway for the catering truck. Tomorrow we'll negotiate the deal and I'll see if it's worthwhile. Can you believe three days to shoot ONE commercial? I would love to go to Jerusalem! Susan

Actually, I'd be scared to go there at this time. Be sure and let us know what famous commercial your driveway will be in! Now, where's John Neff and Jazz???

Awww, thanks Raymond. If you ever stop down in Omaha during a Jewish holiday, give me a holler; I'd love to have you and your wife over at my family's house. We like those New York boys; you're almost part of the family.
