Here is an example of an all DV movie, like Inland Empire. DV hightens the "real" feel to the movie, but it lacks in definition (images are often soft-like) and at the movies it sometimes results in causing migraine.

Down here are a few examples of movies shot on HD, which I don't know if it results in a more expensive production involving heavier and/or luxurious cameras, but it surely assures a better image quality and detail:

THE COMPANY by Robert Altman

COLLATERAL by Michael Mann

CACHE' by Michael Haneke

Now, I think Lynch should go on HD for his next project. Don't get me wrong, I loved the general look of Inland Empire, but this way next time it would look way better.

I prefer HD but you cant just say HD or DV for every film. Some films work one way, other films work another way.
