After the drubbing I took for suggesting a "celebration" of the behated Earth Day, I'm not even gonna go out on a limb & wish ANYONE a Happy Mothers Day. I mean, excuse me, "MOM", I didn't ASK to be born !!! And how DID I get here? A "magical stork", perhaps? NO!! YOU had dirty shameful sexual relations with my "Dad"!!! GROSS!!!!!! So, how about Harpy Mothers Day, you inhuman monstresses?! Go ROT!!!!

I made a copy of that endearing message and forwarded it to Moms Mathews.  I'm sure she'll be amoozed by the sentiments! That and by the bouquet of flowers I'm equally sure her boychik had delivered earlier this weekend. He talks a tough game, but... But right you are, it's a fakey Hallmark holiday. Everyday is mom's day. I wouldn't dream of frequenting a restaurant on such a day! My mom's day is in motion. Going to the pharmacy for some antibiotic solution for dad's healing wound, then on to Costco which I missed yesterday and making a yummy salmon dinner with fresh asparagus and roasted little red potatoes. Dessert = a delicious lemon-almond cake that was sent to me by a like-a-son to me New York friend. For my mom, my sister and I sent her a typewriter (yes they still make 'em) and some personalized stationary to use with it. Called her today as did brother and sister. Will visit her next week and help her begin the process of moving from Michigan to sunny California! Happy Mother's Day to those of you who acknowledge the holiday! (Especially to Kelly!) Susan

Today has been a rather ordinary day, nothing special about it. To me, it just feels really weird. I guess I have many more for me to get used to it.

Awww, with the sunglasses, so cute.  Kelly's a good smart mommy , not like that less than ideal Dina Lohan. Many happy returns Kell and all the good moms ! Yikes, i thought this was " Mothers who are dumb" . Osf -its funny and a joke , but a post like that could send "Lady Luck" out the door as an infamnia = Like forget the one dollar lottery ticket. Now, you must place two flat smooth stones at the door of your residence to neutalize the kibosh on your run. Walk in your door backwards to be safe. Good luck.

Well, my mama taught me not to be superstitious, so... no. But thanks for the advice. All the smart mommies out there know I'm joshin' here (a tongue-in-cheek ref. to Susan's boy, obviously) . Even the thread title is a joke: M-A-D. I resisted the alternate title: M-I-L-F: Mothers, I Love Fatherhood! So gimme SOME credit...

Mmm, boy, I can't wait until Fathers Are Dumb day -- aka FAD.  What day is it this year??? Oh, it's  June 17th according to my handy little Labrador Retriever puppy calendar.

FAD? It'll never catch on!!! Guess it's better than the propsed FAG (Fathers Are Grand), plus some group called the Film Actors Guild was giving us grief. Actually, I am looking forward to June 17. My panties are even moist! But that's more due to a nervous bladder condition. I hate getting old. Maybe I can get my son to change my diaper... PAYBACK!!!

You're just mean and dumb!  And if I wasn't such a smart mom I'd be really really irked and maybe even send you to your room!
Actually my sister and I decided that mother's day should be strictly for little kids to make macaroni necklaces and then it shouldn't be acknowledged after that stage in one's life. But alas, spent all day kissing my mom's ass and I didn't even get a card!
