The bald head is contrary to this, but the facial hair on your friend makes him resemble an early-nineties James Hetfield. I'm probably way off-base with that. Old sea captain?

Here's a pic of me licking the giant foot "sculpture" that was in the bathroom of my hotel room at The Standard in downtown L.A. last weekend. Cousin's wedding. Thankful more photos aren't available.
