Madonna shocked passengers on a recent transatlantic flight after witnesses claim she whipped out a needle and started injecting herself with vitamins.

 

Her startling energy boost came after sources say the queen of pop endured the seven hour journey without eating any food and drinking only bottled water.

A passenger on the flight said: "Just before landing she brought out the phials of vitamins and injected herself."

"Seven hours is a long time to go without eating. She was also very quiet and only spoke to the air staff to ask for water."

The claims come on the eve of the super-fit mum's 49th birthday, which she will celebrate later this week.

Recently she has surprised fans in a string of paparazzi shots that show her arms looking extra muscular and veiny.

A spokeswoman for the songstress said she 'would not comment' on whether the star uses vitamin jabs.

Other celebrities who are rumoured to use the energy boosting shots include rehabbers Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

Anna Denny, nutrition scientist at the British Nutrition Foundation said: "They can be useful for the elderly and the very young, but generally they're unnecessary.

"We wouldn't recommend taking them without consulting a GP first."

There are even more revealing pictures of the arms of both Madonna and Anjelina Jolie on the net.  Madonna has giant veins from her shoulders down and developed muscle tone and size. Must be resistance weight training like crazy for Maj.

Angelina has huge veins from the elbow down to her hands w/o the muscle developement. I showed pictures of Anje without a single vein discernable in some 10 year old photos on another thread here. 

Boys, young men can produce more visible veins, muscles using weights, but these two are diferent cases.

They would both be successful mainliners. Maj seems health obsessed and would use her vitamin injection kit as indicated. If indeed Lindsay Lohan is using this method it sounds foolish to have her given works and a prescription for the paraphenalia that could be used for coke, heroin etc. Not a tool I would give that unstable girl. Just great, providing and teaching self injections to Lohan.

Sidelight: As a kid, I can remember my mother visiting the doctor periodicly, maybe once a month, in the early sixties. Supposedly her B 12 shots, but now in retrospect I suspect amphetamine injections. The woman would fly for a day or so afterward. Many people like Pres. Kennedy got powerful injections including amphetamines from doctors until the mid sixties. Amphetamine shots were common.

If these women are intent on direct B12 they could buy sublingual tabs - safer-no chance for abcess, misuse etc.

Wouldn't it have been more discret to use the bathroom Madj? Instead show impressionable fans that using a needle to inject yourself is no big deal?

Um. Using a needle to inject yourself isn't a big deal. Diabetics do it all the time. Not as if she was cooking up and tying off.
Are you sure you don't mean hematomas instead of abscesses? That only happens when you're performing an intravenous injection (or draw,) which should only be done by a medical professional, and a vein is punctured through. (Those are no big deal if you catch them right as they happen.  You can tell because the lump appears immediately.) It's more likely Madonna was doing an IM or SQ injection, which are perfectly safe when using sterile, disposable needles, alcohol prep pads, and sterile cotton for afterwards. (I used to be a phlebotomist.)

Hi Rainbow, That's good information in your post. Thanks. I guess my knowledge on injections comes from junkies :) They will boot and reboot -so i guess that is where the abcesss (sp) comes in.

But ya know I have known diabetics and must have seen thousands in public and I never saw a diabetic take an insulin shot in public. I've never seen anyone take any kind of injection in public. I think that was the deal concerning Madonna. Just saying.
