QUOTE:

Personally I think we should all just get along.

This I can agree with.
QUOTE:

It's kinda cool to think there is no God and therefore as far as you're concerned you are the supreme being in the universe...well, after the defacto-God Richard Dawkins of course.

This on the other hand sounds like the religious idea that God created man for a special purpose, and therefore man is the pinnacle of everything, but when you remove God from that, everything else changes too.
At least that's how it is for me, I can't speak for anyone else.

Dawkins as the atheist god, though... I won't touch that.
QUOTE:

It's ok for a christian to know they are right imho

Then there are the agnostics, who get respect as those who are wise enough to know that they can't really know for sure.

This is just contradictory. You can't really know that God doesn't exist, but you can be sure that he does? Did I read that right?

In their own minds Booth.

ie. wise enough not to declare that something doesn't exist. Whether that's God, or a 8-headed turtle - it's unwise to claim that it doesn't exist unless you've travelled the world and experienced everything, travelled the universe and understand it completely. There is no way to rule out positively that there is a God, so agnostics get respect for their wisdom in coming to this realisation.

A christian view is that agnostics are just people who haven't encountered God yet, but are wise enough to recognise the possibility.

Sounds pretty unfair that the people who don't believe in something unprovable have to become astronaut theologians, while the people who do believe don't have to. Burden of proof and all that jazz.

Booth

Yeah, life's unfair...but what can you do?

You'll find most topics are so much easier when you're on the side of the truth...     ;-)

How many decades did you spend traveling the world and studying to reach that conclusion?

Richard Dawkins thinks he's destroyed god. All his book did was destroy the religious image of a god. He can't tell us where reality came from.

He went for an easy and boring target in my view.

"Oh! You ARE sick."

Yeah, Dawkins, though articulate, is pretty much a douchebag. Religion is pointless to argue about since no one can prove anything about the logic of their beliefs to anyone but themselves.
