I prefer my "trib bands" with a "twist", like Dread Zeppelin, Big Daddy, or El Vez. Saw a Ramones tributary on Halloween a few years back called The 1,2,3,4s, but I don't think they played that often. And there was a punk Beatles band called The Speedles (& another I have a CD from called The Punkles). The best Tribble combo I've seen is The Lowebeats, a bunch of Seattle musicians who switch off doing Nick Lowe covers. They're led by Scott McCaughey of Young Fresh Fellows/Minus 5/Tuatara/REM  fame, with other Fellows, Model Rockets, Picketts, etc. pitching in.
