I'm posting this one just for Hyde. :D It drops the same day as the TP box set. If Hyde doesn't spontaneously combust, I'll be shocked. :P

The set is gorgeous. They really did a wonderful job with it. I've actually spent more time with this box set than I have with the TP box set. :)

Best commentary on the entire set? Life of Brian.

There should have been more Brian on the set. Or as I refer to him, me.

Agreed. I had a friend in jr high and high school who was just like Brian, and I couldn't help but be endeared to the character. I even liked the character of Sharon, believe it or not. I think I just was attracted to how relatively accurate the show was in portraying teen life as I knew it. It didn't go overboard on the "teens are smarter than you think" end like some teen shows have tried (Dawson's Creek, ahem); it showed that kids aren't as stupid as you think, but they still don't make the best choices sometimes because they're still learning who they are. Plus I dug the dynamic between Angela and her parents. :)

We're up on Disc 3 right now which ahs the Life of Brian episode. I'm watching these episodes and barely remember them back in '94. I remembered the one we just watched really well - Why Jordan Cannot Read or something like that. Now that I'm 33, I am finding the show much more humorous than I did before. :)
