Here I thought we were talking about writers and librettists who were friends of Richard Strauss's and fled Nazi Germany in a hurry and it turned out to be a Simpsons reference all along. Seems like a fun character, though. I had no idea Anne Bancroft had been on The Simpsons. Then again, who hasn't been on The Simpsons?

Guess Booth finally made a monkey out of you.

Grrl power singer-songwriter with an electric sound. Sings about stupid ex-boyfriends.

Pure moods acoustic strumming with string interludes.

Helvetica -- I love it so much.

But that, sucka MC, was Microsoft Sans Serif.

That was the white album.

By the Polar Bears.

"In a snow storm."

I'm so frustrated!  I had a pdf file but the Gazette says it is not web ready or something like that.

It's probably just as well.  So much for being self taught.

I am going to try to help you. I do not have iPhoto so I do not know if adding text is possible.
What you need is a program that can save as jpeg or gif.
When you have made your picture you could do this and open it up in iPhoto and edit it there, then save it, and upload it.

Venus in Copper try to juggle their influences well but ends up  trying to emulate the Velvet Underground - badly. A stale smell of Vanilla Fudge also hangs over the proceedings in the songs where Venus in Copper try to have some fun. College radio airplay will be minimal since Pitchfork awarded ViC a low 2.7 rating.

Ahem.

At this level of magnification, even a blasphemer's eye will surely detect the slight top-heaviness of the negative space balance in Helvetica's 'e' and 's', the fully oval inner shape in the Helvetica 'q' (and similar joins in the 'n' and 'u'), and the overall-height and crossbar-width differences of the 't', though the 'a' really does the heavy lifting here...

I graciously accept donations of Ritalin.

Boy, is my face red... or at least it would be if your picture had used the letters A, Q, or T.

The top pic didn't show up? With the big lettering?

- - -EDIT- - -

Oh, the original cover, I get it. A little slow on the uptake...

Yeah, it's practically indiscernible at that size anyway. I just like to show off.

Brilliant and elegant solution, for a blasphemer.

Even when the two are overlapped, the only things that stand out are the bowl and terminal of the minuscule a.
I hope you agree. Or where should I send the Ritalin?

Edit: The Q stands out a bit too, I guess.

To the typographically obsessed, the difference in the gaps of the bottom parts of 'e' is, if not an ocean, at least a great lake.  But they're essentially the same, for sure, and the Microsoft font is definitely designed to mimic its predecessor.

Meanwhile, I can't stop doing these.

You have to leave me pedantry, it's all I've got left.

This is the third The Something of Something I've had.

Take "This Charming Man" by The Smiths, add a van and some candy, and you've got this album.
