I sent this trailer to some...um...less younger friends of mine than you at the Gazette. They surprised me by being less enchanted by Young@Heart. Curmudgeons!

Here's one response:

Maybe I'm just grumpy (usually the case) but the trailer for Young at Heart made me feel the same sadness I experience when they put hula skirts and roller skates on dancing bears. I might have been amused two or three decades ago, but less so at the age I've somehow found myself to be -- a cosmic error, obviously. On my list of antics never to undertake are putting on a bunny suit and high-kicking in a grandmas' review or wearing a baseball cap and oversized t-shirt while I sing off key in a prison yard. I'm going to slug the first person who calls me "spry," "cute" or "young at heart."

I'm not sure I agree with her but it did make me laugh. And from one of the guys quoting another guy:

"It's like a dog walking on its hind- legs, it's not done well, but you are surprised to find it done at all".
