mine is during highschool & yes I still hold a grudge against my twin sis's friends.  2 - 3 .  they took me for a ride & took me for granted, I did not have a car, we did not get along at all, now the 2 outta 3 is really bad off.  don't wanna explain. all I have to say is I had a strange dream & woke up at 9:37 a.m. and I wanted so to get at them, the 2, they always sneered at me, made fun of me.  have nooo idea why I put up with my twin sis's friends, but they put up for the gas money. my twin sis married durin that time.

just wonderin if any of ya felt , not hate but, dislike in people like that. I still can't shake the feeling off for years. since my sis was very ill back in November, I still can't. just so many things that went on back then.

I have two big assholes that changed and made a negative impact on my life. I'll give you the short version.

The first one is my My maternal grandmother. My mother was 16 when I was born in 1964 when the term bastard child was like a scarlet letter. My grandmother was having an affair with another man and wanted to keep him from leaving her. During my mothers pregnancy, My grandmother faked a pregnancy and told her boyfried that I was his son. Until the age of four I thaught that my real mother was my sister.  I finally was told the truth when i was very young and finally lived with my real mother. My Grandmother eventually divorce my grandfather and married her boyfriend. I have hated that bitch every day of my life.

The other one was my step dad. Pure evil. Thank god he's dead.

Susan,

Wow, I've never heard this story before, Thanks. Scarily similar, except I never met my father. Yes, that's another long Jerry Springer saga I'll save for another time.  I would love to chit chat with Jack and get his feelings on this topic. I still have a lot of bitterness and anger toward those involved. I feel my entire existance is a lie and that I was used as a pawn in a sick and twisted game. Jack was eventually told the truth as a grown man, I was five or six years old when I learned the truth.  How could any parent or grandparent lie to their own flesh and blood like this?

Can you imagine what kind of book a good shrink could write on this. Maybe I could tell the whole story to Josh as an idea for a script. Now that could be catharsic and financially pleasing at the same time. Hmmm.

Seriously, Thanks for the story, It does help to know there are others.

Rob

I think dislike is a negative fear-based emotion and therefore I don't concentrate on it.  Like and love are more worthwhile.

I dislike most of my co-workers, but I hate 2.  Thats usually how it goes.  I don't hate or disliek anyone else.  I usually dislike someone for a short time for a reason, then when we talk about it, I'm back to my happy chipper firecracker self.  I find it hard to talk to my coworkers though, they're so power hungry, I hate that.

Some of the people I have met in the church throughout my life.  Just when I think I have forgiven them something will happen and I will realize that there still is some bitterness there about how they treated me.  I think I have forgiven the people I held a grudge against during my childhood.  There seems to not be pain in those places anymore.

I think Maddy is right. If I'm honest, the reason I didn't like certain people was out of jealousy or misunderstanding. The thing about them I disliked was more often than not something of which I too was guilty.

Probably a good sign, but I had to think for a while to come up with anyone.

Kitty Kat ( Hi Kitty ya stranger.) mentioned work. So yeah I am reporting my results to a guy at work who really is a drag. I don't like him. Two weeks from now I'll be gone and probably won't even remember the sullen, humorless ahole after I cash the last check.

Not to offend anyone, but I work at a Casino during the summer and gamblers are the worst customers ever.  Totally bi-polar.  One minute they're happy and tipping you left and right; the next they're pissed off, yelling, and freaking out.  Plus most of them are also drunks. (Nothing against drunks, just don't like the combo of drinker/gambler).
