Well hey! When you hit 25, you can rent a car without additional costs tacked on! :D That's at least better than looking forward to social security. Right? Maybe? Ah, probably not.

They need to spread out some legal limits between 21 and retirement so we have shit to look forward to, you know? I'd be much happier about my 40's being on the horizon if I knew that there was a bonus to it. Like maybe at 45 we get to legally smoke pot? Though maybe that would be better off when we hit 55, because that's when all those nifty senior citizens discounts kick in at like Denny's and IHOP, and those cheaper prices would certainly help with the constant munchies. :P

I'm 28. But I think this is the year I'm going to start lying about my age. Maybe get younger for a few years, or tell people I'm a lot older just so I can hear that I don't look it.

No lie, I'm 51 years middled-aged (a prime number, baby).  It's all downhill from here... WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Oh, crap. It's the bottom. Guess I'll go on the ride again.

I'm completely  down with this idea although I'm thinkin' that 44 might be the best age because... of reasons that are entirely to complex to go into here.  Congress is back in session soon, right?  They could punch this through in a few days, right? George will be on board, right? Finally an issue I can get worked up about!

I "indulge" only very occasionally & in small doses  (I'm a 2 hit man), but why not make the legal age 42?   As in 42.0?

Hi everyone! Long time since I've posted regularly. I'm 39 if anyone wants to know.

Although I don't smoke I have nothing against people who do (unless they drive under the influence). I think cannabis should be legalized, it's a plant for Pete's sake. People need to be treated like adults by their governments.

Ray, I don't think could have ever guessed in a million years that you were 39. You don't look a day over like 28. :) HAWT.

Yes, the smoke should be totally legalized. At least it's more natural than cigarettes and alcohol, you know? Jeesh... (I have more to say and a much stronger opinion that what is reflected in this rather flippant comment, however I want to keep this thread all light and lovely :D)

The google ads for this page are amazing.  They should be cross-posted with the "Destined to be Single" thread.

This October will be my 40th birthday.  It's a little more difficult to come to terms with than 30, which was not a problem for me at all...

Now, I seriously have to think about being at or over my likely halfway-point.  I think of 40-60 as being analogous to 20-40, in terms of what I do with my life... I'll presumably be less brash and more deliberate, and maybe smarter and better informed, but I'll also have less excess energy to burn.

I think I'll be taking certain types of decisions more seriously now.  Where I move next, for example -- I'm starting to get that nesting urge pretty seriously, so the idea of just "trying out" other cities for a while is less appealing.  The call to settle in or around Vancouver gets stronger and stronger.

I'm trying to be more careful about the people and things I let have space in my life, and trying harder to nourish what's already good that I'd like to keep around me.

And I just realized I'm turning this into a therapy thread.  Hungover Sunday afternoons rock!

Yet another person whom I would not have guessed as being the age that they really are. Even though I'm pretty sure I already knew your age anyway. Why am I all surprised? Good lord my brain has really deteriorated over the last year...

That must be it! I mean, the mental image I always have of you is that picture of you with the flower tucked into your blue hair. :D

Yes I do, for the most part. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever grow up. (I do love asparagus though)

Personality-wise, I'm the same as when I was 21, but my decision making is improved, not perfect, but certainly improved.

I generally feel young-ish-like. It's others that make me feel... not so young. To quote Van Morrison (who was likely quoting someone else) : "You've made a happy man very old."

I think I am about the same as when I was 17, just less vulgar and I make better decisions as well.  :)

Heheheh.  In reading this thread, I forgot how much I loved reading all your postings and how much I missed being on here!  I am 30.  Most days I feel like I am in my early 20's but some days I feel like I am in my later stages of life...

First Wave Baby Boom. AARP first wrote me well over 10 years ago. Some 'friend' signed me up early- ' ha ha wait til Ray gets this !'. Can you imagine any one , more likely a cabal of your crew in on it, going thru with that including dues? Sheesh. Oh yeah, and that big 4-0 at the office with black crape paper leading down to my darkly decorated corner. Happy birthday !

Anyway I feel good.

I can't believe the movie stars from the eighties and nineties that are hitting some sobering milestones also. At least most of them look good-very important.

Hey I found a good (to me)website, http://www.celebrityagemachine.com/search.php?op_type=today

Brad Pitt is 45, Jolie is 33. Huh, she's alot younger than Brad.

Marilyn Manson is 40. Gary Busey-64. Howard Stern 55
