What are the best things on television right now? And by that I mean shows that aren't cancelled.
Please share and write some reason why you like the show.

On now:
Mad Men
- Probably the only 1hr drama worth watching.
Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! - It's funny. That's it.
The Daily Show - Liberal media.

Hiatus:
Flight of the Conchords - The songs are hit or miss, but the rest of the show is delightful.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - For some reason I like the show even though I don't find it all that funny.
QI - Best quiz show on television. Not much competition, but still.
The Office - The writers really got their shit together after the strike and the half season we got was better than the earlier seasons put together.
30 Rock - NBC's (only) other good show..
Kitchen Nightmares (UK version) - If they could use the "tempo" of the UK version with the people from the US version it would be even better.
Curb Your Enthusiasm - Larry is a douche. Wonderful.

Shows I watch occasionally but don't really follow:
The Simpsons - It's been bad for a long time now, but I'm still hoping for something.
South Park -
I like some hamfisted social commentary sometimes.
House - Not Lupus, nor must see TV.

Well, since I don't even have basic cable there is not much for me to watch.  I guess I am more of a movie guy.  Like for the past few weeks I have been taking advantage of Blockbuster 5 movies for five bucks deal.

Here is some of what I watch, but I don't really watch it that much, Dr. Phil, Family Guy, TBN, Court Shows, Conan O Brien, Jay Leno, David Letterman.

I have watched It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.  I watched it at my cousin's house and I enjoyed it.

Sometimes I will watch something like CSI or Law And Order if I happen to catch it on and it seems interesting.

My TiVo spends most of its time recording old shows. That's how bad current TV is. I would rather spend precious gigabytes recording stuff like Knight Rider and Leave It to Beaver.

My one (well, two actually) joy in life is watching Deadliest Catch and Secret Diary of a Call Girl, both of which just ended for the season. Oh well.

Spent a fair amount of my time on vacation watching T.V. since my parents have and cable and it's something I never do at home, having the one but lacking the other, and was once again struck by the same question; is this stuff getting louder or stupider? This is sad because it reflects the fact that I'm now officially estranged from the appliance that raised me.

So the only good television I found was, once again, The Weather Channel.  That's it, I'm officially old.

I unfortunately realize there will never be another Twin Peaks.

I only watch 2 shows

Lost - Good if you like shows that are one long narrative with 3 dimensional characters and tons of mysteries and a complex mythology.  Lynch connection off the top of my head-Chris Mulkey

New Battlestar Galactica - Dark, gritty remake of cheesy 70s sci-fi show filmed documentary style with some good actors and social and political commentary.  Lynch connection - Dean Stockwell

Lost, Curb Your Enthusiasm, My Name is Earl, Dexter, Family Guy and American Dad.

And, Off-topic I know, but did anyone know that Sherilyn Fenn was in an episode of Cheers (I Just watched it). It was Season 4 so she was still really young.
