I really should just do a 'I heart Matt Ruff' thread but here is this instead.

Again from his 'Unpublished works' page;

"

Congress: the Gathering (1997) — A political variant/satire of Magic: the Gathering which I wrote for possible submission to InQuest magazine but never got around to sending in. My final draft is here, but be aware that it won’t make much sense if you’re not a Magic player (and an old-school Magic player at that).

"

Funny, funny feces, if you know MTG.  WOTC and Ruff could have made big buck on this, I know I'd shell out for a starter deck and a couple of booster packs.

I wish someone would create a Twin Peaks RPG.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

Actually I'd think Call of Cuthulhu (DON'T SAY THAT NAME!) would probably work just fine.  It would take some effort to get a campaign set up but that's always the issue.  That and finding a group of people who game well together.

Anyone play Poker?  I enjoy it but since I can only afford nickle-dime the whole bluffing aspect goes out the window.

In general I'm glued to my PC with NWN, KOTOR, JE, Civ and other Sid Meier time sinks.  I have no internet at home so I'm cut out of most of the new stuff I'm interested in (thanks EA.)

Redbear, I can totally see you saying in your best Don Davis impersonation, "Achievement is its own reward.  Pride merely obscures it."

You need to create a TP RPG.

 I avoid even the possibility of the sin of pride in this area but never achieving anything.
