Has anybody seen Jiminiy Glick in LaLawood?  Very funny. Glick is a moronic film critic from Butte, Montana, going to cover the Toronto Film Festival, where he gets caught up in a murder mystery.  The film opens with a close-up on a striking match against a black background, smoke curling up, a smoke ring, and then Martin Short doing a great impersonation of DL, the cigarette, the clothes, the voice, the mannerisms, the inflection.  Just fabulous.  DL narrates the movie, and keeps popping up in scenes. There are all sorts of references throughout to Lynch movies, as well as Kubrick and Coen Bros., and probably more I missed.  Glick is in heaven at the TFF, "Oh, I love the shallowness of it all!" he beams.  You gotta see Short as Lynch...

"I'm talking about seeing beyond fear, Roger.  About looking at the world with love."
