Say what you will about the conclusion to the DT series, coming across this:

Drew Struzan's Dark Tower poster (from The Mist)

made me very happy in the pants. Anybody got $100K to throw down? I'm still holding out for a good film adaptation, even if it is JJ Abrams behind the whole thing.

Also, Warner Bros is set to put IT on the big screen.

$100K

Maybe if the comma was a period. But even then it's a bit eeh.
The technical aspect is good though. But it looks like it should be on the side of a van.

I don't know if it is true or not, but I have heard that Pennywise may be coming back.

Ooooooooo, Jeff Bezos as Pennywise and the Kindle as a magic 'Cell' that transports people who use it into Stephen King books!

Oooooooooooo Two, The Revenge.  Stephen Kings characters come out of his Kindle for REVENGE! (Yes I know that it is unlikely that King has a Kindle and if he does he probably dosen't use it but this can be explained away by the fact that this is a NOVEL.)

He's kind of half-and-half on the thing.

As for the "Pennywise lives" rumor, I doubt I'd read a follow-up if it came out (then again, I read Insomnia for that purpose, only to find out it was a DT book in disguise). But the evidence I've seen that suggests this possibility is pretty dubious. It's been a few years since Dreamcatcher.

I think I'm gonna dip back in to IT, actually. Haven't read it since high school.

ganked from liljaslibrary.com concerning IT movie remake

“The remake will be set in the mid-1980s and in the present almost equally — mirroring the twenty-odd-year gap King uses in the book — and with a great deal of care and attention paid to the back stories of all the characters,” says Kajganich. “I think the real twist here is that my pitch to WB — which they’ve assured me they’re on board for — is that this will not be PG-13. This will be R. Which means we can really honor the book and engage with the traumas (both the paranormal ones and those they deal with at home and school) that these characters endure.”

“I plan to be very protective of the book,” Kajganich continues. “The reality, though, is that WB wants to do this as a single film, so I will have to kill a few darlings to make that happen. You have my promise, though, that I will do this with the utmost humility and respect for King’s work. He’s the King, after all, and I intend to continue to pledge to him my allegiance.”

*snickers*

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

I am reading Christine.  It is kind of different than the movie and I didn't think it would be.

I didn't finish Christine. I had to take it back to the Library.  Maybe later.  I am reading some of the short stories in Skeleton Crew.  I am thinking of reading a Dean Koontz book.  A friend of mine use to be a big Stephen King fan, but says that Koontz has won him over and now he only reads Koontz books.  I saw one a few weeks ago at the Supermarket that looked interesting.  I don't remember the name of it though.
