Only ugly women with attitude problems have problems getting guys to stay with them, and therefore have dating issues that are plentiful and laughable.

But I think women like this show because these ladies aren't airbrished Vogue models. It was written by gay guys for fag hags, anyway.  Why do you care, j?

Well, isn't this why women like the show that much? Because the girls are kind of normal looking?

If you watch a few episodes of the show you will found out that it isn't really that much about sex. Or of course sex is a part of it, but it's more about love, relationship, friendship and blah... But I guess the show relate more to women than men (I'm sooo smart...)

Wow. So. Yeah. I see nothing wrong with the four female leads of the series. They're more beautiful than I'll ever be, so kudos to them.

I would be bored to tears watching show where beautiful plastic people in their 20's did nothing but sit around and moan about how tragic their lives are. It's not relatable in any way because your average woman knows that's all bullshit. The Hills is a fabricated world of fake plastic people who try to pretend their lives are far more interesting than they really are. If I had to sit there and watch LC and Audrina try to hash out such sexual foibles as dying your bush bright orange or trying to seduce a priest, I would end up bashing my head in with a fucking brick.

Sex in the City, however, is completely relatable on some level. Shoe fetishes and strange clothing choices aside, Carrie Bradshaw is universally appealing to women because she's flawed both in character and appearance. Sarah Jessica Parker is admittedly not the most stunning creature ever to walk the planet. However, she's still very lovely and endearing because she's so close to "average". The other three women are also lovely and I would be hard-pressed to find a derogatory term to apply to their looks.

The series was never meant to be some sort of hot-chick-delivery-system for straight men. It's a show about the lives of women with sex as the metaphor for many things (and vice versa), and it is definitely more for women (and then gay men crashed the party, whee!) than for straight men. I'm not saying that the series was brilliant. I'm just saying that it deserves more than to be scoffed at for not having whatever it is about The Hills that is apparently so appealing, it warranted the simultaneous bashing of four very pretty women.

YES. Though I can't imagine WHY they would ever feel like this was acceptable. I mean, it's not like men are out there totally deciding that these fake plastic females are the yardstick by which all other women should be measured and therefore beauty wins over all else. Oh wait. YES THEY ARE.

Maybe it's because the girls, who are both hot AND brainy don't need to get on T.V. to get attention? But yeah... I think you are right about these pretty girls acting dumb because they have never really needed to be smart. I guess some girls also think they get more attention from men when they act brainless? You know, not that complicated? I don't know...

I think you have to look at the whole woman.  There are many qualities that will make a woman attractive to you or not attractive.  I have met women who are very physically attractive and just based on that they would be a 10, but they also had a very sweet spirit about them.  All gorgeous woman are not stupid or mean.  And they are sometimes judged; people think they would be a certain way because they are so gorgeous, but they are not that way at all.  But I have met other women who I think are still a 10, but they might not be as physically attractive but there would be something else about them that would make them just as beautiful.

Maybe I am just lucky but most of the attractive women I  have met have been very nice people.

A 10 is the whole package, and really depends on who you're asking.

Anyone who thinks a 10 is defined by looks alone is missing out and probably has a shit personality themselves.

I dated a guy who was homely by other people's standards, but what I was attracted to in him made him GQ hot in my eyes.  I'm not saying it doesn't start with physical attraction most of the time (we are animals, after all) but if Sex in the City was a show created for men to wank to, it would be a show about strippers or porn stars, and there'd be very little dialog.

 p.s.  Oh, yeah. I totally hooked up at the Fest this year. Smart cuties abound in them woods. (I'm making him take me to Glastonbury Grove on Halloween.) There's ecstasy on the powdered doughnuts, watch out!

The guy I'm currently crushing on is someone that most people wouldn't consider hot, cute, or perhaps even attractive. But he has this cute smirk he gets when he finds something amusing, and when he looks at me it makes my knees weak because his eyes seem unfathomable, and he thinks I'm beautiful just as I am. I've known him since we were kids in church youth group and he's funny and really smart and has a good heart. Maybe one day he'll decide to give me a shot. For now I just like being his friend. Though I would definitely shag him rotten any day of the week.

And as far as fest hookups...I'm still waiting my turn all patiently here. :P Nah, I'm so much happier hooking other people up (though I had nothing to do with Angel's win this year; can't take credit for that, though I supported it whole-heartedly! :D)...it's sad when I'm more concerned about getting other people laid than getting myself laid. :P
