Very true--Violator is pretty much my favorite album of theirs. The only albums I own are Violator and The Singles -- 1986-1998. |
That is the general consensus amongst fans. The Sweetest Perfection is awesome. I'm a sucker for all Martin Gore songs. I even loved his Counterfeit EP that came out back in the day (ask Amanda for date and time of release).

I really enjoy "Pimpf". And for like three months straight in high school, I ADORED "Memphisto". I think some of the coolest DM songs are their B-sides, most of which never appeared on an actual album. Which is the main reason I collected all the singles for so long (and then they released those f'ing singles box sets...).

"Memphisto" was the B-side for "Enjoy the Silence" (along with "Siebeling" if you bought the extended single). "Dangerous" was the B-side for "Personal Jesus", another unreleased track that I enjoyed mightily. I would KILL for that round apple bottom...I mean, on me. I don't care if it's on someone else. :P

How frakkin' awesome does it look on the 101 DVD when Gahan is singing Never Let Me Down Again and waving his arms back and forth as the HUGE crowd mimics him? Transcendent, man.

Sorry, I found that I just couldn't get my list down to 10. There are just too many songs that I place on equal ground at the top of my DM playlist. If you asked for top 20, I might be able to do it.
