Any of you guys love this movie like I did back in the day? The 2 Coreys - check Kiefer Sutherland as psychotic villian (understatement) - check Awesome, awesome soundtrack - Cry Little Sister, Echo and the Bunnymen covering the Doors, INXS, I Still Believe song by male stripper, and awesome cheesy 80s style song Lost in the Shadows by lead singer of Foreigner - check Chinese noodles turn into maggots - check Amusement park - check Death by stereo - check Crazy grandpa with great line at end - check Hanging under bridge - check The list goes on and on.... What are your thoughts on this awesome 80s film?

Always loved it for its pure unadulterated cheese factor. A definite crowd-pleaser, though it overshadowed another teen vampire film, After Dark, that was released around the same time and some even believe it is better than Lost Boys. I don't know that I have an opinion either way. I kind wish they'd never made Lost Boys: The Tribe though. Watching it kind of put me off to the first movie as well, though I did certainly appreciate Aiden's cover of "Cry Little Sister", which Jared and I could not stop singing at the fest this year.

And her boyfriend will be where when this all goes down? :P They do the same crap-assed slo-mo sex scene in the LB sequel, with the cover version of the same song. It's just not even close to entertaining IMO.

There is no way I could put myself through watching that lame direct to DVD sequel.
I think it was a requirement in the 1980s to have that type of love scene in EVERY SINGLE R-rated movie.
PS - I didn't pick up on this when I was a kid, but supposedly there are a lot of gay undertones in the movie with Corey Haim's character and being directed by Joel Schumacher.

Lost Boys is in my top five favorite film list. The Tribe makes my 5 worst list. The symmetry would make Ben Horne proud.

Most of the blogs that are covering the story say she's way out of Haim's league, or they're astonished that anyone will have him (what with his history of reckless substance abuse.) (B actors with a cult following are overrated, now? Hm, I had no idea. And people complain that Brangelina still make headlines.) Here's footage of Corey in the throes of pill addiction:

I have to admit, I watched both seasons of The Two Coreys simply for the train wreck that Haim has become. It was actually really f'ing sad. You just look at this guy who seemed to be the hot ticket for so long who has fallen really really far, and he's not even willing to battle his demons to pull himself back up. Some of the footage was so painful to watch (the above stuff that 12r posted) that I was glad to have TiVo so I could forward through parts of it. Yikes. I would take Tiffany Shepis over Brangelina anyday. :D

Yeah, I've been catching up on the show and it frustrates me because I know people like that, and I sympathize with those around him. He's emotionally retarded from being a child star, that's for sure. He never learned to work through his own problems on his own, because he had managers and publicists and fans and party friends, medicating and coddling him. So he's like a spoiled, undisciplined dog who now has all these unfixable, destructive behavior problems.
On top of that is the childish patterns of the addict, Like,he asks for apologies simply so he can selfishly feel like his fuckups weren't that bad, therefore his problems must not be either. That may have worked when he was a cute, successful product, but now he's got to grow up and learn some real world coping skills. Poor Feldman wants to make it better, but any positive reinforcement is going to end up enabling Haim.
God, I hope Tiffany can whip him into shape.

Sigh. Where to begin? I saw Lost Boys and really enjoyed it. Kiefer Sutherland was a favorite of mine and the setting was great. But later when visiting Santa Cruz and its boardwalk with a young Josh I was struck by the real life weirdness of the place. It was the only time I ever saw Josh get into a fist fight. I think it may be the only time it happened. We were in an arcade. Josh had placed a quarter on the console of a video game while another boy was playing. I understand that was arcade etiquette in those days. When the first boy's game was over, Josh inserted his quarter but immediately another young kid shoved Josh aside and started playing on his quarter. Wham! POP! A scuffle ensued. It was like a cartoon with these two little boys punching away for a millisecond or two. (I was so proud!) The Two Coreys. I had met Corey Feldman about 8 years ago and thought he was a mess. Nice boy but so screwed up. Later I heard about the TV show but never saw it. Corey Haim? Never gave him a thought either way. I'd have been hard pressed to come up with any of his credits outside of Lost Boys. But Tiffany. Ah, to know Tiffany is to love her. It is not her cinematic or photographic look so much as it is the real deal. There is so much that is special about Tiffany. She's a firecracker personality. Funny as all get out! Sharp as a tack. A brilliant promoter. A tireless worker. A fine and talented actress who deserves a crossover hit though I'm not sure she wants that. And she LOVES her fans. She isn't faking it as she travels from town to town meeting people, taking pictures with them and signing autographs. I wonder if there's any way to learn how many myspace avatars are photos of guys with Tiffany! She is so genuinely down to earth, unaffected and upbeat that she lights up any room with her out-and-out gregariousness. Her eyes are an amazing amber gold. Her skin is beautiful. She is just sooo pretty in person. The smile! Sweet. Lovely. I adore her and think she has a big future. But... Tiffany and Corey Haim together? Say it isn't so. When I saw that news while perusing Hollywood Defamer the other day, I thought it was a Halloween stunt. A joke. At this stage I'm only thinking "joke" because it was so sudden. People don't plan weddings that fast. I know CH's reputation but don't know much else about him. Still, I could not believe it. I waited for Tiffany to laughingly invalidate the rumor.
Yesterday I check out the Two Coreys website and watch and watch and watch. Like Amanda says, it was painful to watch but I did. I wanted to see what poor Tiffany was getting into if this was true. How surprised was I to see Corey Feldman seeming like a well-balanced, clear-eyed, happily married guy! Is that really his house or was that provided by the reality show? And that shrink! Bet she helps out a lot of mentally stressed patients. EEK! Anyway, as the one article stated, "A May 5, 2009 wedding date gives Tiffany plenty of time to come to her senses" and I have every confidence she will. She is no Nancy Spungen. At the end of the day I hope for the best for the injured Corey Haim but I'm afraid the cumulative effect of so many bad choices may be too much to overcome regardless of how much energy he usurps from those closest to him. He does emit that "rescue me" vibe but I'm afraid he may end up as a real life Lost Boy. Susan

I thought Corey Haim and Corey Feldman were so cool when I was a kid because they were on the cover of Tiger Beat every month, all the girls loved them, and they were in cool movies. I wanted to be them.
